Week 4

[After everything that this case was, you probably don't want to deal with anything else. But you wake up on Sunday, just like before, with some new memories, and some new stores to check out.

Let's see what this week brings.]

Sunday | Monday | Tuesday | Wednesday | Thursday

(( Don't forget to check in, and check your memory regains! You can also stop by the gacha machine and Xander's office hours. ))

Exactly as I say. I was very literally created, at least in part, to fight.

...I forget that not everyone knows exactly what I am. So I suppose I should inform you that I'm a machine.

[personal profile] tokencanadian 2018-02-27 04:45 am (UTC)(link)
...

[Pyrrha doesn't reply, not at first at least. Whether she even can is possibly up for debate, as she seems to simply stop entirely for a moment. Her eyes staring at him, or possibly beyond him, at something on the wall of mirrors, or past even that.

She snaps back rather quickly, thanks in part to the weight that rolls from her hand, heavily thump-ing against the floor. She promptly returns to this time period.
]

O-oh. Is... that so? You're really a machine?

[personal profile] myocordial 2018-02-27 04:48 am (UTC)(link)
[That was one hell of a reaction there and it causes Heart to sit up a little more, his brow furrowed in concern. It helps when she speaks up, but even then...]

Yes, that's correct. I know I don't exactly appear like one, but...

...I'm sorry, are you alright?
tokencanadian: (Concerned)

[personal profile] tokencanadian 2018-02-27 05:00 am (UTC)(link)
[The synapses in Pyrrha's mind suddenly kick back into gear, and she immediately realizes how she must seem right now. So, she scrambles to pick up the weight again.]

I-I'm alright. It's... n-nothing about you. It's just surprising still, is all... seeing a robot like yourself that's so...

[Ahahhaa.]
myocordial: (051)

[personal profile] myocordial 2018-02-27 08:40 pm (UTC)(link)
[I mean good effort, but not that good of a cover, Pyrrha.]

Very surprising, apparently. Forgive me, but you looked more as if you'd seen a ghost.
tokencanadian: (Noticing/What)

[personal profile] tokencanadian 2018-02-28 05:25 pm (UTC)(link)
[She's never been very good at covering for herself on the fly.]

A ghost? [You mean the- no, he doesn't mean literally.] Oh, no. It's just that... my experience with robots on Remnant hasn't been very good.

[to say the absolute least]
myocordial: (096)

[personal profile] myocordial 2018-03-01 06:41 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm sorry to hear that. It must have been quite the bad experience for you to have that reaction.

I hope it won't cause any problems between us, of course.
tokencanadian: (Doubtful)

[personal profile] tokencanadian 2018-03-01 09:17 pm (UTC)(link)
No, no! Not at all! [ahem, calm down a little, Pyrrha.] T-the last thing I want is to cause any problems. It doesn't matter to me if you're a robot. I think that's... wonderful?

[She's panicking just a little.]

I mean... I'm sorry.
myocordial: (046)

[personal profile] myocordial 2018-03-02 12:56 am (UTC)(link)
It's quite alright. I'm not at all offended, if that's your concern.

Are robots... common, where you're from?

[Because he kinda wants to know what the heck this is about, honestly...]
tokencanadian: (Head tilt)

[personal profile] tokencanadian 2018-03-02 03:08 am (UTC)(link)
Well... yes, of a sort? [ahem] There are a line of robotic soldiers the army of Atlas just produced to help protect the kingdoms, but they're nowhere near as... advanced as you'd think.

[And also really susceptible to viruses.]

But... there was one exception?
myocordial: (066)

[personal profile] myocordial 2018-03-04 08:16 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm glad they aren't, because if they were more advanced I might have a problem with the concept of creating them for the purpose of war.

[Not that he has any reason to feel strongly about that or anything.]

...Was there? And... what were they like?
tokencanadian: (Reassure)

[personal profile] tokencanadian 2018-03-04 10:27 pm (UTC)(link)
No, no, they weren't created for war. They were made to protect us. [It's complicated, Heart. It would take at least a five minute video to explain.]

They were... a bit like you, I suppose. I never got to know much about them, but they seemed very... full of life.

[She wishes she could remember Penny at her best, but alas. They barely knew each other.
myocordial: (034)

[personal profile] myocordial 2018-03-04 10:33 pm (UTC)(link)
...Well. I am probably not the best person to comment on that. Although it is good to have that protection, I suppose.

[Don't mind him, he's just... taking a moment to set old personal biases aside.]

Ah. Very... human, I take it?
tokencanadian: (Concerned)

[personal profile] tokencanadian 2018-03-04 10:58 pm (UTC)(link)
It... was a good idea at the time, I guess. [To someone, mostly General Ironwood.

It's cool, Heart. She'll give you that moment.
]

Very much. I had no idea at all. She was just a normal, happy girl.

[so full of life. So combat ready.]
myocordial: (051)

[personal profile] myocordial 2018-03-04 11:29 pm (UTC)(link)
I imagine it worked out better in your world than it did in mine.

[That's a real low bar, mind you.]

To never give you any reason to suspect anything... She must have been impressive. To be that close to human.

So... what happened?
tokencanadian: (Down)

[personal profile] tokencanadian 2018-03-04 11:54 pm (UTC)(link)
It really felt like... she was just another person.

[Which is why it makes what Pyrrha says next all the harder to get out.]

She... she was killed.
myocordial: (063)

[personal profile] myocordial 2018-03-05 12:50 am (UTC)(link)
I'm sorry. That is... truly regrettable.

Were you there when it happened?

[He assumes that must be why she has issues with this. Boy.]
