...I was planning to, when that monster was trying to come after us. I couldn't kill it on my own, not as I am now. The best I could hope for was to buy the rest of you time and injure it badly enough so that you could regroup and finish it off.

But then you and Touko and Varric-...wouldn't leave. I must have been lectured five times over how reckless that was, and I don't...understand why any of you care. Especially Noctis, who has more reason than any to despise me.

So I want...to live a little longer. Enough to see the end of this, and to make everyone responsible pay for what's happened. I want to understand what kind of person all of you thought worth standing with.
