I d-don't know. I don't want to think o-one of us would mess with us like that, but...

That's possible too.

The closest I've seen to that was one time that we thought the Nadesico was haunted because a hacker crab hit the memory centre that connected to our pilots' IFS implants and made them all hallucinate people from their past. I didn't even have my IFS implant back then, and weird things were happening to me, too. But we're not a military target in here, at least I hope not, so...

[Excuse her, but most of that just went right the hell over her head.]

A wh-- hit... huh?!? I d-don't understand a thing you just said b-but it's not something that should happen here, right?

I don't think it will, since this place hasn't displayed any Jovian technology, nor is an isolated shopping mall anything close to a military target. But if it does, given that our PIPs are similarly connected to a network and affect our bodies? It could happen very easily. Even so, there would still be the question of why, and I don't see any reason for someone to make us think we're haunted.

S-someone targeted us but I don't know why it would be someone's military... n-not all of us are that special.

And we're not even from the same world, so we wouldn't be affiliated with the same factions or places.

But that means whatever we're facing... it could be even worse...

That's probably true. Even so, I know we can make it out of this. If they're going to call us Champions, we'll make sure we win over them!

...even if we are supposed to be "Champions", I'm not sure they were really trying to flatter us with some of those titles.

That's true, yours is pretty awful, isn't it? Nobody wants to be called a stalker.

I had a talent before coming to this stupid place and they have to know it. Th-the fact that they called me that is nothing short of saying they w-wanted to insult me.

Maybe you injured their pride when they captured you and they wanted to get back at you. I don't see any other reason.
