[It's been about a week since the Champions woke up in their new consumerist hellscape of a temporary home and, despite a few odd goings on and the bomb incident with Church and Nari, things haven't been as bad as they could be. No one is even dead yet! But let's see how long that lasts.

... this is a joke, right?

[ She doesn't seem like she's talking to Arianna. But there's nothing stopping her from taking a look at the Family Portrait the machine's just spat out. ]

This week of all weeks...!

What is it? Is...

[RII-SAN IS DOING HER A CONCERN]

That is... you?

... Yes.

[ She sounds sick to her stomach. ]

And... and this...

[ Her voice catches in her throat and she has to stop and take a breath before she can continue. ]

Th--this is Ruu-chan.

[wow yeah she's heard that name a few times]

Ruu-chan...

[She kind of looks like...]

Perhaps... your sister?

[ Yuuri just nods. It's all she's able to do with her throat as tight as it is. She's blinking rapidly, trying to clear her eyes of tears before they can roll down her cheeks. It's not exactly working. ]

I--I don't... I don't know who could've drawn this. I don't understand where it came from.

[Does she need a hug? She looks like she needs a hug. She's getting a hug.]

Could one of your friends have drawn It?

[...I mean...]

... N--no, I don't think so. None of them could draw as well as this. Maybe... maybe Miki-san could, but...

[ But she wouldn't even know what to draw, unless she was a mindreader. None of them had ever seen anything but the bear when they looked at Ruu so how could they have known what to draw? ]

There's the initials, too. None of my friends have a name with either of these letters.

[Arianna closes her eyes for a moment, trying to think whether she knows a J.F., but of course she comes up with nothing.]

Perhaps... whoever controls this machine simply... wished for you to have a memento of her.

[serrata]

[ She scoffs, a short, disgusted noise. ]

Or they just wanted to rub some salt into the wound. Which one do you think's more likely?

[She kind of flinches at that question. She would love to believe Yuuri is wrong and someone just wanted to be nice, but... even she has to admit the context doesn't really support that.]

...even so, you have a portrait now.

[serrata]

... right.

[ She's staring down at the soft, careful pencil lines making up Ruu's smiling face. Her own smiling face. The woman in the portrait looks so peaceful, so happy and Yuuri wonders how long it's been since she smiled that freely, if ever. ]

It's... it's something, isn't it? Something of Ruu-chan.

[ Something that isn't that damn bear. ]

And something of me, too, I guess. It's such a good likeness... I wonder who drew it?
