Week 2

[It's been about a week since the Champions woke up in their new consumerist hellscape of a temporary home and, despite a few odd goings on and the bomb incident with Church and Nari, things haven't been as bad as they could be. No one is even dead yet! But let's see how long that lasts.

[ Yuuri doesn't quite know how to response at first. Because Fukawa's sweet and kind and all but somehow she hadn't connected all that with the idea of actually getting chocolate too.

With all the festivities and all the effort Fukawa's put into just doing something to lift their spirits Yuuri's reminded suddenly and painfully vividly of Yuki. And so, without even thinking, she steps forward, wraps her arms around Fukawa and pulls her into a tight hug. ]

... thank you so much, Fukawa-chan. I really mean it.

[First she'd thought of the people that she'd befriended in that short time, but then she'd also started to think of the other kind people-- especially someone like Yuuri who'd really seemed like she needed it the most after yesterday. Just like with anything she'd done, she hadn't expected anything in return. Not even this.]

I... know how this has to feel for everyone who hasn't been through it all before. They hid a lot of things from us in Hope's Peak and used them to hurt us. Even if it's just something small... I h-hope it reminds you that you're not alone. N-not by a long shot.

Mmhmm!

[ It's all she's capable of coming out with for the moment because her throat is tight and her voice might come out with the telltale tremor of tears. And she doesn't want Fukawa to misread that. She holds on for a moment longer and then when she steps back... maybe her eyes are a bit overbright but her smile is sincere. ]

Right. None of us are alone in all this. No matter how bad things get, we're all in this together.

Thank you for making me remember that.

G-good. Don't... trust what the people running this game say too much. We'll figure out what's going on together.

[She's glad it made a difference-- it was more than worth the effort.]

Even if it is really bad, we aren't going to change anything on our own, r-right?

Right. Oh, and I was such a sourpuss before -- I'm sorry, Fukawa-chan.

[ ... to be fair, she's been having a Very Bad No Good Week but it looks like Fukawa's managed to lessen the load a bit. ]

You've got me all inspired, now. I'll have to make you something just as nice in return.

Th-there's nothing wrong with that. The first time I... didn't come out of my room unless I absolutely had to. Back then... I had people who inspired me too. S-so I guess... m-maybe I learned a thing or two from them.

[Her instinct is always to say it's not necessary but--]
