[It's been about a week since the Champions woke up in their new consumerist hellscape of a temporary home and, despite a few odd goings on and the bomb incident with Church and Nari, things haven't been as bad as they could be. No one is even dead yet! But let's see how long that lasts.

[ He slips the ring onto his finger, and he looks a little relieved. And yet... confused, too. There's no quiet sense of power when he puts it on. Noctis frowns a little, but shakes his head and looks at Church. ]

I'm still really concerned that apparently I should have been on fire, but also really thankful I'm not. I've been on fire enough for a week or two.

Yeah, the uh. Ring's pretty picky about who puts it on.

Personally, I just prefer people who aren't on fire. Maybe that's just me. The ring only likes kingly folk, huh? I'm not good enough to wear a ring? I'm totally good enough for a ring. I'll wear ten of 'em.

I can wear two without exploding. It means I'm awesome. Or, wait, is it ten rings with ten copies of dead kings, or all these ghost kings spread out across ten? Maybe the latter would be easier to handle. I can handle ghost kings. I get ghosts.

And it's not just ten kings. It's about a hundred. So... ten rings equals the power of about a thousand dead kings. Besides, just because the Ring's not working now doesn't mean anything. Whoever brought us here had to have done something to it.

It basically gives you enormous magical power. My dad used the ring to protect our city. I used it mostly in combat--it gave me access to some powers I couldn't use before.

You ever wanted to rip holes in reality and get rid of enemies forever? That's one of the things it lets me do. Instant death, too, but some are harder to do that to than others.
