[It's been about a week since the Champions woke up in their new consumerist hellscape of a temporary home and, despite a few odd goings on and the bomb incident with Church and Nari, things haven't been as bad as they could be. No one is even dead yet! But let's see how long that lasts.

Vitamins. Uh, supplements? To give you nutrients that just food alone can't give you. Balance out your body if you're deficient in stuff. [He closes it up again, and then realizes maybe...she...should know how to open them and comes to sit on the floor and show her.] You have to press down on it and then turn it. Like that. ...And I dunno what it means if people get things from home. Maybe they're replicas? Like, they know about us. So they know you've got stuff, and so they made their own version? A copy. [a faker!]

Oh, I see it now. [ DOES SHE THOUGH, well either way she's certainly watching him closely... ] What a strange smell they have. They must be a physic.

[ The second part is bothering her more, though. She wraps the cloak around her shoulders more tightly. ]

Is't a thing done easily in your time? To see it done so many a time, we would think it sorcery.

It's a lot easier in your future, yeah. A lot of things aren't even made by people anymore, they're made by...other objects that people made to make other things? Quickly? [He's bad at this. Something like that, but for...most things.

[ She's not sure what would really be worse -- to know that they went through all her things, or to feel something that seems as real and familiar as the weight of her cloak and know it was nothing but an act of counterfeit, and she could not even tell the difference. ]

[ The smile that takes to her features manages to be nervous and distant, all at once. ]

My mother. I've had it since we went from England... it dragged the ground then. [ With her seated, it's not terribly obvious that the cloak is now a little short on her, but still! ] It even smells the same.

[ She wants it to be her actual cloak, is what she's saying. ]

Then maybe it is. Maybe you were wearing it when you were taken, and they put it in safe keeping.

Maybe. [ It comes out as a low echo, unconnected from the frightful reality that this would mean yet another lost memory to worry about the contents of. She looks up and tries to banish the wistfulness weighing her down. ] I mean not to speak only of myself. You wish for armor?

My armor. I'm a soldier. We wear it so often it's kind of like a second skin. Feel almost naked without it.

[curdle]

I am sorry of its loss. Could it be 'twould make you too awesome [ she means awe-inspiring ] an opponent for them what have us now?

I'd be super too awesome. [he means...modern awesome] Can't give us too much of an advantage after all. Make it too easy.
