week 2
[It's been about a week since the Champions woke up in their new consumerist hellscape of a temporary home and, despite a few odd goings on and the bomb incident with Church and Nari, things haven't been as bad as they could be. No one is even dead yet! But let's see how long that lasts.
Enjoy your week, Champions.]
(( Also, don't forget to submit your AC and item rolls! You can also bother your Overseer here. ))

Might as well paint that target on her back and get it over with so the insults and hatred can start. ]
Clarith is harboring and protecting the Daughter of Evil, Riliane Lucifen d'Autriche, who is responsible for the suffering of the Lucifenian people and the attempted genocide of Elphe women across Elphegort.
[ She sas it with guarded resignation, like she expects the insults or worse to come at any moment. She's used to it. They'll hate her and that will be that. Everything will be as it should be, ultimately.
Clarith will always be relatively isolated. ]

It must be a complicated story, Clarith-san.

[ She sounds... Distant. Tired. ]
...A revolution sparked in the wake of that war. Even though Mikaela was dead and the Lucifenian troops withdrew, it was too much. She had done too many horrible things. And so... They stormed the palace. But instead of finding her, they found her twin brother. She had thought him dead. ...But he wasn't. And he... He traded clothes with her. And sent her out a secret door. ...He was beheaded at the guillotine in her place. And she ended up in a little port town with a monastery. She didn't know how to live. I found her, collapsed and starving. I didn't know who "Rin" was at the time, but... She didn't know how to do anything. It took time for her to do even the most basic of chores.
[ ...She remembers it well. How she had to be taught. She couldn't even cook simple things. Or use a broom. Or anything else. ]
...I... I overheard her tearful confession one night. It was an accident. I realized who she was and what she'd done. That she'd robbed of of Mikaela. That she'd caused so much suffering. ...So I retrieved a knife from my room. I found her on the beach, in tears, tossing a message in a bottle. And I... I almost...
[ ...She doesn't say it. ]
...She caught me. And she begged for me to do it. Because she deserved it as penance for her sins. She was quiet and accepting of death. But I... I couldn't. I couldn't look at her there, like that, so miserable from the weight of her own sins and regret, and just take her life.
[ ...Suddenly a lot of Clarith probably makes sense to a lot of people. ]

And that's why they gave you that title.

The Champion of Forgiveness.

[Pyrrha looks... tired. Extremely so as the story reaches its end. It sounds so wrong to see her looking this sad, but the pieces are slowly clicking together.]
...You were exceptionally brave, doing a thing like that, for someone like that. [It's all she can think to say on the matter. it takes serious guts to forgive someone like that.]

[She smiles softly.]
I can guess why you're the Champion of Forgiveness then. I don't think you're evil for it, Clarith. [She shakes her head.] If anyone thinks so, then they're deeply mistaken.

[ She was fourteen. Fourteen. IT still makes her stomach turn that someone so young was expected to do so much. ]

How does Jane react to this, this is a lot to uh. This is kind of a fucking lot.]
no subject
[ She doesn't blame anyone for wanting nothing to do with her ]

[?????????????????????????]
JANE IS SUCH A GOOD CRIES
[ Clarith is actually legit shocked????? ]
...Thank you, Jane. I... I truly mean that.
[ Jane is such a good. ]

Because none of it is changing her mind. So... as long as Clarith lets her, she'll hold her hand and be there for her.]

If it's only one person... If she's not alone... ]

[context: he sure don't have any]
I CAN HTML I'm so sorry
...They'd kill her. And no one would be able to protect her anymore.
[ She'll have failed someone else. ]

[ ...Basically not many people would want to protect her. Haha. Ha.
This is fine. ]
Even her own soldiers abandoned her, Mister Church. The only reason she escaped that palace was her brother. And he's gone.
