[It's been about a week since the Champions woke up in their new consumerist hellscape of a temporary home and, despite a few odd goings on and the bomb incident with Church and Nari, things haven't been as bad as they could be. No one is even dead yet! But let's see how long that lasts.

I'm guessing you don't know what a chocobo is.

'Chocobo'. [She repeats. It's like, the second time she's ever said it. Have pity on her, Noctis.]

It's... a large, flightless bird. Isn't it?

Yep. They come in all sorts of colors, and they've got a hell of a kick.

I can certainly imagine. I'd only seen a sketch of them drawn by Ardyn before, so I had no idea that they came in multiple colors.

Yeah. My friend's sister really likes the pink ones, but my favorite are the blue ones. I bet you'd like great on a green one or a red one.

You think? I'd probably love to see one someday, maybe even try to ride it. It has to be easier then attempting to get onto a Nevermore. [...] Er, which aren't that much like Chocobos at all.

Nice person like you? The chocobos would probably love you, especially if you gave 'em plenty of greens.

Soooo, what's a Nevermore? Sounds spooky.

Being nice to animals might as well be one of my special skills. But I have been told I'm more of a dog person. [Aha.]

Nevermores are a type of Grimm back home; these gigantic raven-type creatures. They're pretty fearsome foes. A group of four of my friends had to work together to defeat one during our initiation.

I can't blame you there. Dogs are pretty great.

[ Man, he misses Umbra and Pryna. ]

Four, huh. I might be biased, but that's the best number to take down monsters with. So you're a warrior, Pyrrha?

And excellent fight companions, I've heard. [Who knew Corgis were basically indestructible? She didn't.]

I am! Not a space pirate, like you might think though. I'm actually a Huntress... currently in training. It's a type of warrior and guardian.

Yeah? Mostly, the dogs I know were just messengers, but I bet they'd have been awesome in a fight.

[ He nods, listening. ]

That's pretty impressive. What do you hunt--these Grimms?

[tokencanadian]

[A small nod!] Yes, that's right. In a manner of speaking, anyway. It's the job of Huntsmen to protect the kingdoms against the Grimm, or anything else that might cause trouble. It's been that way for hundreds of years.

The Grimm aren't normal creatures, they're... special I guess you could say?

[nightcure]

Hey, I know how that goes. Special, though? Color me interested.

[tokencanadian]

Yes, but it's not as great as you might think. [She grows surprisingly somber for a moment. It's not every day you get to teach someone about the Grimm, and the basics were hardly a laughing matter.]

The Grimm are creatures of destruction, drawn to any negative emotion and bent on destroying life on Remnant. It's been documented that they attack Humans every chance they can get.

[Every... chance they can get.]

[ He nods, and his expression grows serious when hers does. ]

... Hah. That sounds kind of familiar. So it's dangerous, being a Huntsman.

Any job where you put your life on the line for your world is dangerous. It takes studying hard and training to be the best you can be. Not to mention a bit of skill.

It's always been my dream to do something great like that.
