[It's been about a week since the Champions woke up in their new consumerist hellscape of a temporary home and, despite a few odd goings on and the bomb incident with Church and Nari, things haven't been as bad as they could be. No one is even dead yet! But let's see how long that lasts.

There's a lotta that going around. No pressure. Is it just me, or is it like way easier to talk about complicated shit with your not-uncle because everything about his life is already complicated and horrible and neverending pain?

He's been my primary care physician the past couple days, so. Yeah. Guess I've talked to him a lot, ish?

He's having trouble figuring out a lot of stuff, seems like.

I get that he's spent the past several thousand years being a giant shitface monster or whatever, but does he have to be a shit about it all the time? The feeling things...thing.

He's told me plenty. Surprisingly.

I just wish he'd figure his shit out a little faster, cuz if it turns out it's all just actual muscle memory and he doesn't give any genuine fucks, then honestly I'd rather you look after my arm.

I'm pretty sure he genuinely cares.

I'm pretty sure if he wants to stop having breakdowns he should admit that he's having breakdowns, but what do I know, I'm not a counselor.

[He stretches his arm a little from its makeshift sling, literally a place to put it so he doesn't bump it into everything or accidentally start doing shit with it he shouldn't yet.]

Nari gave me some legit medical advice. So I'm hoping it'll heal up well. It's gonna be a while, though. It's really hot? And kinda itches. Never been a burn victim before.

Need any more painkillers? I'm not gonna give you enough to mess you up, though.

I think I'm just gonna grin and bear it at this point. Unless you've got something heavy duty. [Or unless someone got some out of the gacha. Or unless someone gets healing anitbiotic gel out of the gacha leonard.]

Smaug seemed pretty messed up about the shock she was given. Hope she'll be okay... We can't all shove our traumas down into a mental hole where we store all our insecurities, after all.

Nah, the only stuff I've got is what I gave you already.

I'm hoping she'll start opening up. But I know it's never that easy. The only thing we can do is be there for her.
