[After the reveal of their handsome and well-dressed but stern-looking Overseer on Sunday, the Champions were left to their own devices in investigating the mall to their hearts' content. At around 10 pm every night the lights in all the shops will go down and the sturdy metal grates over the doors of the restaurants will go down. The stores will remain unlocked, though.

On Monday morning, a buzzing alarm chirps at them again from their PIPs at 7 am on the dot. There's also a pop-up message waiting for them: a notice announcing Xander will be holding office hours

[ Her smile softens a bit into something a little more genuine and she's surprised to hear herself breathe out a quiet laugh. But then she nods. ]

Right. If we're all going to be fighting together, the last thing I'd want is to end up dragging you all behind because I've gone and keeled over.

[ She gets the message loud and clear but... well, it's Yuuri. It's a bit of a crapshoot as to if she'll really take it to heart or not. ]

I'll be resting up this weekend so I'll be fit and healthy come Monday. You don't have to worry about me.

Great, because I'm not naturally inclined to be a worrier. Doesn't come nearly as easily to me as worrying other people.

Aaah, I see now. You're a troublemaker. I should've guessed right from the start.

[ She punctuates this with a sip of her latte. That might've landed with a bit of a sting otherwise, but she's got a smile on her face that softens the blow a little. ]

[As if he wouldn't take that as the highest of compliments, softened or not. He sits up, fake-preening, buffing his fingernails on his T-shirt and blowing on them, though he can't help looking at her over his hand.]

One does one's best to perfect one's inborn talents. One ought to have a medal for one's outstanding work in the field, one thinks.

[ That gets a laugh and she leans back in her seat a little, arms folded across her chest. ]

I don't think we can get you a medal, unless that machine in the food court spits one out. But you think they would've taken that into consideration when they were giving you your title, right? I thought you would've been a shoe-in for 'Champion Troublemaker'.

[ She tilts her head and gives him a grin. ]

Maybe 'Champion Challenger' just had a nicer ring to it?

They mean about the same thing, don't they? I have to admit, I'm not totally sure what they were going for, calling me that like something out of an old-school arcade game.

[Then, putting on an exaggerated announcer's voice:]

A NEW CHALLENGER approaches! ...Though in this case, maybe I'm the one defending my title from you.
