[After the reveal of their handsome and well-dressed but stern-looking Overseer on Sunday, the Champions were left to their own devices in investigating the mall to their hearts' content. At around 10 pm every night the lights in all the shops will go down and the sturdy metal grates over the doors of the restaurants will go down. The stores will remain unlocked, though.

On Monday morning, a buzzing alarm chirps at them again from their PIPs at 7 am on the dot. There's also a pop-up message waiting for them: a notice announcing Xander will be holding office hours

Yes. There must be some reason they've taken us, and not others. What if we've yet to know something even worse?

I don't know. I'm worried, but all we can do now is work with what we have. When you say "yet to know," though... They clearly know what we don't. Do you think they've got evidence or they'll tell us?

[curdle]

I know not. If they have the truth, and they wish us to do murder -- it could be 'tis not worse at all, and for that, we cannot remember it. Or it could be that they'd tell lies to turn us against each other.

Dost think this the first time we've all met?... well, I know it cannot be. So many hold family names in common, but...

That's true! Maybe a lot of us really are related. Yuuri-san and Ardyn-san look like they could be parent and child, even if his face is more like Noctis-san. It sort of feels like connecting pieces of five different puzzles together to see what fits.

[curdle]

Maybe. But does't not seem wrong that we could just forget our relations? I know I've lost no memory of mine.

[ or has she...... well, that's not great to think about! ]

'Tis for that I came hither -- the forgetting. I would check myself for such marks as we've seen.

You mean the tattoos, right? I haven't found any on myself, either. But come to think of it, my IFS implant doesn't look fresh anymore.

[curdle]

She [ read: Jane ] did call them that, and the rest at meeting. But none spoke the words you just did... what is it?

This! [She holds out the back of her hand. Only the marking's faded from iridescent to pale grey.] It's the mark of a nanomachine implant-- oh, uh, it's something I had done so I could pilot heavy machinery.

[curdle]

[ This is a very sweet and considerate clarification which nevertheless whizzes right over Thomasin's head! But it looks like a tattoo, so it's a special magical tattoo/scar now and it's fine.. She gazes at the back of her hand with interest. ]

If it were still fresh, it'd be shimmering with colours, instead of only doing that when I'm using it. And when you first get one, well... you kind of become more prone to rash decisions for a while? But I feel back to normal already. Time must have passed.
