[After the reveal of their handsome and well-dressed but stern-looking Overseer on Sunday, the Champions were left to their own devices in investigating the mall to their hearts' content. At around 10 pm every night the lights in all the shops will go down and the sturdy metal grates over the doors of the restaurants will go down. The stores will remain unlocked, though.

On Monday morning, a buzzing alarm chirps at them again from their PIPs at 7 am on the dot. There's also a pop-up message waiting for them: a notice announcing Xander will be holding office hours

... I could try to whip up some waffle batter. Chloe's... the diner back home served great Belgian Waffles, I've watched them make it a bunch of times.

[ He pockets his spationery and gets up. ]

[ And into the kitchen they go! Max starts rummaging through things. ]

I haven't made a real meal in forever, and here I am slamming cinnamon rolls and waffles together in one day.

Yeah? It's been a long time for me, too. Usually one of my friends does all the cooking.

Ooh, a photography friend and a cooking friend, huh? Sounds like a well-rounded party.

[ A beat. ]

That's a... video game thing. If you don't have those where you come from.

[ He laughs. ]

Oh, we definitely have video games on Eos. Assassin's Creed? Only the best series ever.

[ Max laughs a little, too. ]

Man, you do not seem like an Assassin's Creed guy. But that's cool. I'm more of a WoW and Square Enix girl myself. Tomb Raider is the bomb.

Are you kidding? Prompto and I used to play it a ton.

When we get out of this whole thing, we'll have to game together.
