week 1
[After the reveal of their handsome and well-dressed but stern-looking Overseer on Sunday, the Champions were left to their own devices in investigating the mall to their hearts' content. At around 10 pm every night the lights in all the shops will go down and the sturdy metal grates over the doors of the restaurants will go down. The stores will remain unlocked, though.
On Monday morning, a buzzing alarm chirps at them again from their PIPs at 7 am on the dot. There's also a pop-up message waiting for them: a notice announcing Xander will be holding office hours
Enjoy your week, Champions.]

By all means. It would certainly be difficult for two heads to be much worse.
[At least she's apparently not getting too frustrated?]

[Right, okay... Focus.] So... we probably have to... turn one of these knobs, right? Or... Is it a button?
no subject
[...arianna please don't look so thoughtful when you say that]
It seems to be a knob. Perhaps as a safeguard, so that the oven does not accidentally activate when bumped by a pot or pan.
[or to coNTROL THE TEMPERATURE FFS]

[Good god both of you stop now.]
If it's a knob, we should be able to just... turn it, right? How hot do you need it to be for your... whatever those are?

...I'm not certain. Not as hot as they have been, it would seem.
no subject
Well... let's try dialing it back a little bit then? Or... [He looked at the turnovers.] A lot, even.
no subject
[Yeah, she... took that literally...]
Yes, that seems wise. Perhaps they should be... four hundred? Pray tell, do you know what it is that these numbers represent?
no subject
Shit, I didn't even know fire could be represented by numbers. [He looked a little concerned -- four hundred was a big number. But the girl seemed eager so...]
Let's see what happens.

Arianna turns it... down to 400. Wow. At least it's probably more like Farenheit than Celsius? Then she puts in a pan with a single turnover on it. No sense in wasting like eight times the ingredients before she figures out how to get it right.]
Now... I suppose we wait.
no subject
[He crosses his arms and stares at the stove.]
For how long, anyway?
no subject
[Sure would be nice if she'd thought to follow a recipe or something.]
no subject
[He peeks into the glass of the oven, hoping that maybe it was already done?]
Now what?
no subject
[Honestly Arianna was probably just going to stare at ingredients for a while.]
