[After the reveal of their handsome and well-dressed but stern-looking Overseer on Sunday, the Champions were left to their own devices in investigating the mall to their hearts' content. At around 10 pm every night the lights in all the shops will go down and the sturdy metal grates over the doors of the restaurants will go down. The stores will remain unlocked, though.

On Monday morning, a buzzing alarm chirps at them again from their PIPs at 7 am on the dot. There's also a pop-up message waiting for them: a notice announcing Xander will be holding office hours

That's true, but nobody wants anyone to die, so why wouldn't we be trying to escape instead?

[She hasn't actually been looking.]

Other than the meeting yesterday, I haven't heard anything.

Really? And it was him, not some hologram or weird voice? Because something weird happened to Pyrrha-chan and I this morning.

I'm sure it was him. He wanted to tell me that his job is to make sure that we are healthy and nothing is threatening our lives except each other...

[Yeah, she's not taking him too seriously.]

He's not very good at this, is he?

The whole evil underling thing. He's even sociable sometimes, just really awkward and stilted.

I doubt that this is little more than a job for him.

I was talking with Ardyn-san and we think he must be really sheltered. Or from some backwater planet, if we're really in the future and that much has been colonized. It's strange otherwise, isn't it?

Backwater plan- That shouldn't be possible. This place is strange but it isn't that strange, that man looks normal...

It must be hard to believe. It's difficult for me, too, but the evidence is there: we've all come from different places and different times. Thomasin-chan came from the distant past, and you seem to be from before commercial space travel, too. The Doctor seems to understand, have you talked to him about it?

I've not spoken to him, but I've heard him. [HE says a lot.]

He's mentioned nothing of this.

He knew a lot when I asked! Where I'm from, we've only begun to research into something that enables travel across time and space. It's really dangerous, though.

That isn't something one would normally think of asking...

It is when it's the only possibility you can think of for randomly being somewhere else.

Teleportation? Where you came from?

No. It was- [She thinks for a moment, how to explain.] It was like I was in two places at the same time?

Really? I've never heard of something like that, but a lot of this is new, too. How could you function?

What do you mean?

If you're in two places at once and you know it, are you splitting your attention? Are you just unresponsive in one place when you're active in the other?

I don't know... It was like time didn't move when I was in the other place, but everythings hazy.

Wow... Maybe we're all connected to some strange phenomena at this point. I wasn't usually the person with the explanations.
