[After the reveal of their handsome and well-dressed but stern-looking Overseer on Sunday, the Champions were left to their own devices in investigating the mall to their hearts' content. At around 10 pm every night the lights in all the shops will go down and the sturdy metal grates over the doors of the restaurants will go down. The stores will remain unlocked, though.

On Monday morning, a buzzing alarm chirps at them again from their PIPs at 7 am on the dot. There's also a pop-up message waiting for them: a notice announcing Xander will be holding office hours

No, I... I'm gonna ask the Overseer about it, but it might not be in his purview. It's gotta be someone from my world. Probably someone I know. Or...knew?

I mean I have a guess, but everyone I know wears full body armor like 90% or more of the time, so I tend to identify people more by what color they're wearing than by what their face looks like.

He knows more than we do, at least. I don't know that I'd wager on it being MUCH more, he gives off kind of a... I don't know, like he's an overpromoted middle manager.

No. Can't say I have. Just us humans and exactly one race of aliens that wanted to kill us.
