Welcome to the Program
[Each Champion is awoken by an alarm ringing from a machine attached to their non-dominant arm. Whatever they were doing, whatever state they were in, they're in a bed now, in good health. And maybe a bit different since the last time they looked in a mirror.
There's a text note on the device attached to their arms.]
Good morning, Champions. In the interest of maintaining healthy sleep patterns, a day/night cycle is in effect. Your presence is expected in the food court in exactly one hour.
[Your surroundings look like your normal everyday space mall. But if you look at the functions of the device on your arm, there's Not-so-familiar profiles, some rules, and a mini-map that'll show you the layout of the mall.
You are free to explore at your leisure...For an hour, at least.]

[In the intervening time between waking up and the signal to assemble, the Doctor has managed to put together... well, calling it an suit might be a bit generous, but he's got some clothes on over his unitard by now. He gives a small wave.]
Xander. Alex. Can I call you Alex? Lexie. Good trick getting us here, first of all, that really is pretty impressive considering where I was. Really terribly unoriginal setup though, the rules I mean. The mall's a nice touch, but really, the deadly game thing's been done before. BUT, anyway, I had someone with me. Young woman, Rose Tyler. Mind telling me where she's got to. Somewhere safe, if you know what's good for you.
...Ooh, guess that's a bit less of a question, more of a threat.

[He considers this for a moment.]
That a good thing or a bad thing, you think? It's Alpha, isn't it?
no subject
And it really depends on who you ask. Heh, I mean, if all you spout is dumb shit, then that'd be bad, but if you're smart, then--I mean then I guess you're just covering what it is you're trying to say in more words?
Is there a good thing to talking a lot? Shit. Maybe there isn't. Except as a distraction.
Oh my god are you distracting us?
no subject
[That never changes, right? Probably.]
And what? No, no- no. No. ...Maybe. A bit. Not intentionally.

Sorry-?
[Someone say something?]
...I've not got a stain somewhere already, do I?
no subject
...No, sir, I think you're okay on that front...
no subject
Okay, good, good. Still breaking everything in.

I'm the Doctor by the way, hello. It's Jane, isn't it? Flipped through the profiles a bit on the way here.

[She has seen many girls lacking pants over the last few days. But it's the santa suit that gets her.]
... You talk a lot...

[How would you rate this regeneration on a scale of one to ten, ten being the only answer he'll actually accept.]
Hello by the way, I'm the Doctor.

The only information I currently have is on the people here right now. I would assume she is where you last saw her.

[His tone is still cheerful, but there's a bit of an edge beneath it now.]
Information on us though, how complete is that. Names and ages and some basic profiling, sure, but how much have they actually told you about us?
