second trial
[Like last week the announcement sounds, the Champions with their gathered evidence file once again to the teleporter where the courtroom waits for them.
The a circle of podiums has changed since last week. The Griffin, Toby, and Angelica's floating portraits have joined Chintanda's above their respective podiums as well as the bright green having been changed to a glaring red.
The Overseers are waiting on their floating platform when the first group of Champions arrive. They're back in their black suits, side by side. Jamie's expression is grim but he looks more mentally present than the last trial. Bolton, on the other hand, looks stern but not grim, arms crossed over his chest. Once again, he's the one who makes the announcement.]
Welcome, Champions, to the courtroom. Sixteen of you have entered, but - in the best case scenario - only fifteen of you will leave. Compile your evidence and figure out who the killer is. If you vote correctly, the culprit will be executed and the rest of you will be allowed to go back upstairs. If you vote wrong, however, the killer goes free and the rest of you take the punishment in their place.
Remember, there is no time limit but keeping things interesting is in your best interests.

[She frowns, crosses her arms, straightens her stance.]
And that note Miss Lightning found - it was torn up and shoved hastily in a booth cushion. Were you perhaps trying to see if you could mask your own handwriting before you went ahead and killed her, hid your attempts, and then conveniently took advantage of her personal notes once she died?

YO MODS wanna help her clear this up for sure?
[Oh my God, Jane's hitting the limit of her temper already.]
It was part of that weird sabotage, right? You had to wear it until Friday exactly, just like Togami had to cart around all his stuff, and then you wouldn't have to wear it anymore. And guess what? Angelica's death is time-stamped on the case file at 12:03am - giving you plenty of time to putter around and plot things in a cumbersome costume, inhibiting your dexterity for your cruddy forgery attempt!
[FIST HITTING HER PODIUM] And then when you weren't obligated to wear that stupid thing, you only had to wait three minutes to get at some of Angelica's own handwriting to forge it!!
[She turns sharply to Bolton and Jamie.] Sirs - please clarify for me! Mister Twiright couldn't wear anything but that gorilla suit until Friday, is that correct?

All of Twiright's clothes were replaced with that gorilla suit until 7 o'clock this morning - at the end of the Night cycle.
I CAN ACTUALLY CLARIFY THIS MYSELF LMAO
[ ...But hey, even if he had gloves, what about seeing with that thing on? ]

[And thanks Bolton, you get your first smile from Jane in two weeks.]
And like Mister Bolton said, it was either the gorilla suit or your bedsheets until seven this morning. Even if, perhaps, it would inhibit your ability to write things or see what you were doing, why wouldn't you wear something that would protect you from the bleach AND you'd never have to see again. And...
[A pause, and her eyes widen slightly as she recalls something.] You stumbled into the situation after we all did, as I recall!

[She's looking incredibly agitated now...but still not backing off. Girl, you have no idea when to give up and let other people press for answers.]
