Week 6

[Six weeks. Twenty-three Champions whittled down to just seven. Where the halls of the station once felt crowded and loud now they're empty and echo when someone speaks too loudly. Again, the Champions will find themselves experiencing strange dreams on Sunday night but outside of the usual wake-up call there is no new floor announcement from CECE.

Like the trash compactor last week, the infirmary is pristine and sterile once again. As if nothing had ever happened.]

[...No. This isn't--no, some kind of echo, some kind of...hallucination, or glitch? The system hasn't shown any actual glitches so far that he can tell, but this would certainly be one. There's nobody else in the room, not even Dudely who'd held her or Petuu that shot her.

Wouldn't be the first time he'd been made to see something both real and not real at the same time.

He moves cautiously over to the body, crouches down to touch her face. To prove it to himself. They wouldn't dump her body back here, would they?]

[When he reaches out to touch her, his hand passes right through her face. But there’s no visible distortion or glitching that would accompany a hologram, either. More like a ghost than anything.]
