Week 5

[In a tragic yet seemingly inevitable turn of fate, the Champions have lost Zombina this week. OsoKaramatsu and Korra, too, are gone, both having fallen in their attempts to help their fellow Champions out of terrible circumstances.

Again, the Champions will find themselves experiencing strange dreams on Sunday night, until they're awakened by C.E.C.E.'s announcement. This is all starting to become routine.]

Congratulations, Champions! By surviving your third trial, you have unlocked the fourth floor of the ship. A new mini map has been added to your P.I.P.!

[The trash compactor is completely shiny and new again. In addition, the profiles on the P.I.P.s still inticate that Karamatsu is dead. Because of course he is, right?

[On Wednesday, Max is wearing the horrible thing he found in his dumbwaiter, along with his dog voting hoodie over one of the modest turtlenecks. Shut up, it's fucking cold in here.

After his usual spate of breakfast cooking, he goes up to the greenhouse to spend a little time just sitting beneath a tree. It's good to see plants again, even if it's kind of weird that you can grow stuff like that here in the first place.

Late afternoon, he gets bored with that and goes down to the media room to set up a little movie party. It's nothing official, but he's taken the trouble to set out the sodas and the popcorn, at least, just in case anyone else shows up. Looks like he's watching some animated thing with space in it.

He spends the entire evening after the movie shut up in Room Six. He didn't seem in a particularly bad mood when he headed off there, though, so it's probably okay to visit?]

[Jamie has been a bit of a cryptid since Sunday but he's not about to miss out on a movie night with a friend just because of his memories and brain sending him down the path of sneaky hate spiral. Besides...talking to Max helps.

He plops down next to him just as the movie starts, cocooned in every blanket he could find in his room.]

What're we watching, M- pfffffft holy shit, what is on your face?

[Max grins somewhere beneath his hideous woolen beard.]

I decided to grow my beard out this week. Try out a new look. You like it?

[Jamie makes a sound akin to a dying bird and hides his face in his blankets, wheezing softly.]

You look beautiful. Keep it forever.

Oh my gosh, thank you! [He places a hand over his heart, touched.] I will.

[At this point he's just descended into hopeless giggling, save him.] Please never grow a beard for real though, I don't think my heart could take it.

I've had a beard before! I think it looks fine, but I've gotta trim it all the time, it's kinda easier to just shave or have some super manly stubble.

Media Room

[So, Karamatsu's never seen this movie before, as much as his family is a fan of parodies. So when he walks into the media room as it's starting up, noticing the soda and popcorn set out, he decides to wander over and have a seat. He recognized Max from behind, so he starts speaking as he walks in.]

I hope you do not mind me dropping i-

[...he stops short, seeing Max from the front and spotting that thing he's wearing.]

Ah.

Hey, Kara.

[this is totally normal, right?]

[I MEAN

SURE]

That...looks very warm.

It totally is! I dunno if you really know where Florida is, but it's in the southern part of America - I don't usually have to deal with cold, like, at all.

[karappo]

[Karamatsu has no idea where Florida is, but he can make an educated guess based on that, he thinks.]

Ooohh, really? You do not have to deal with snow where you live?

No! It totally never snows, it's way too hot. A few years back there was technically a little snowfall, but it never even really hit the ground.

[Shrug]

We get hurricanes and stuff though.

Hurricanes sound pretty frightening...we tend to have threats of tsunamis in Japan more often than anything.

Do you know why it might be so cold in here right now?

[theundertaken]

Maybe something broke. Like, the climate control or something. I dunno, I'm sure if they'd done it on purpose to bother us Rox would've showed up to do an evil laugh or something.

[karappo]

[That gets Karamatsu to laugh himself.]

Yes, it is more of an inconvenience than anything I would consider as a threat to us. If that were the case, we would be freezing to death.
