third trial
[With the announcement and the evidence, the Champions are free to decide amongst themselves what order the groups leave in. Once that's done the process of teleporting is automatic and happens in the blink of an eye. Once second they're in the center of the cafeteria before a soft blue light surrounds them and then they're standing in the middle of a circle of podiums.
The room itself it the same shiny, chrome-covered atrocity as most of the rest of the ship save for the sections of floor that aren't the teleporter: those are thick clear glass that show nothing but empty space and stars beneath the Champions' feet. As for the podiums they're the same sort of garish chrome with a digital screen facing toward the center of the circle. More portraits and names in blaring red have been added this week. Slaine Troyard, the Champion of War and Zombina, the Champion Rotten Girl.
The Overseers are waiting when they all arrive, standing on a floating platform just high enough to be out of reach and back far enough toward a far wall to have a full view of the courtroom. Both are dressed well, Rox in a pressed grey dress jacket and skirt and Blaze in a black suit with the sleeves rolled up to expose his numerous tattoos. Rox is smiling like that cat who ate the canary while Blaze is standing a little farther away than normal and looking uncomfortable.]
Welcome back, Champions! There are fourteen of you here but, if things go correctly, only thirteen of you will leave. I don't think I have to explain at this point what will happen if you choose wrong.
As usual there's no time limit but be sure to keep things interesting. [She folds her arms across her chest, looking down on the Champions with a grin.] Let the trial begin.

You really think they coulda switched? I had a hard time tellin' 'em apart the first week, hell, that's why I'm callin' 'em "Brows" and "Red", but...

[Karamatsu blurts that out all of a sudden, his hands gripping his podium hard enough to make his knuckles white.]
Osomatsu had nothing to do with this, s-so please... do not get him involved.

The motive. Being separated would be worse then dying for twins, wouldn't it?
no subject
She asked me to.

Was I right, you both thought that a suicide wouldn't count?
no subject
Sh-she...she w-was going to turn into a real zombie soon, had I not helped her. She was scared of turning against everyone a-and she couldn't kill herself so I...

You...no, what the hell-
[Osomatsu slams his fists down on his podium, his teeth grit so hard his head hurts.]
W-what are you talking about!? You went to bed, with me! You-!! You never left! Why would you say something like that!?

...Hey. Oi!
[Osomatsu is trembling, barely controlled rage and disbelief on his expression.]
ANSWER ME! ANSWER ME, SHITTYMATSU!!

[Karamatsu raises his voice, yelling that at his brother across the room. There are tears just streaming down his face by now.. Osomatsu was the last person he wanted to admit this to.]
no subject
[His voice is hoarse from screaming, and if someone isn't nearby to hold him back he might actually try to fight him.]
no subject
[Please don't fight when Karamatsu's about to die boys.]
She was going to kill everyone, don't you understand?!
no subject
It didn't have to be you!
[Osomatsu chokes on a sob, desperately grabbing a fistful of his hair and pushing his bangs off his forehead.]
Kara, you can't, I- I can't be alone!
no subject
[Honestly, all Karamatsu can do in reply to that is break out into a sob. He grips onto the sides of his podium just to keep him standing, as he cries his heart out at his brother's words.]
it might've been Oso that told her about the death thing honestly
