[It has now officially been one full week since the first two murders on the station. As the Champions wake up this morning, they'll be pleased to note that nothing is immediately amiss as they leave their rooms. No banging sounds, no blood in the hall.

Still, it might not hurt to look around a little.]

[Like Thomas, Karamatsu doesn't investigate. It isn't because he has anything against those who died, but...because he just can't do it today. Every time he closes his eyes he sees Prompto's frozen body, and he hears Yuri crying for him to get up.]

Thomas-san.

[He's left his room a little while after Yuri did, planning on heading back as soon as he can to meet Yuri if he returns, or be ready for the trial...whenever that happens. But he hadn't been expecting to see Thomas up in the Diner.]

[a nod, recognition that Karamatsu's there, a hope that he isn't going to start asking questions]

...Karamatsu? [he wants to be sure] It's bad out there, isn't it.

[karappo]

[Don't worry, he doesn't intend to. That's better left for the trial, anyway.]

It is worse than bad. I feel a bit guilty for not assisting in the investigation this time, but...I think everyone has it covered for the time being.

[andjerry]

[he's relieved when he hears that, just a little bit]

Getting in the way is worse than not being there.

[karappo]

[Karamatsu gives a soft noise of agreement, looking off to the side. Boy, if this isn't one of those times he wishes he could go outside and not be met with the cold, unforgiving vacuum of space.]

It is shocking to me that multiple victims keep appearing. Do people not realize they are only expecting one murder, much less multiple? It makes you wonder at that point how deliberate it all is.

...Some people- if they're promised something like this, it makes them desperate. Maybe- some of them felt the way I did.

[karappo]

It is possible. I cannot really say I understand how anyone in that position would feel. I do not think any of us could.

[It's one thing to murder on a whim, or because you feel pressured, but this is something unprecedented.]

I just hope they understand what they have done. It is not going to end well for either them, or us.

...I don't want to think about it.

[karappo]

For what it is worth, I do not think it will ever come to that. Such an ending to this show would be too anticlimactic for our Overseers.
