[It's not stabbing-level blood, don't worry. It may have been treated, too - one of the other items sitting nearby is a roll of cloth bandages. The end is ragged and slightly bloody.]

[those bandages suggest they either came prepared, or someone brought medical supplies to them. Is there something they might have used? Tat gun being the first thing he thinks of]

[It's a cape, blue on one side and red on the other. Most of it is clean, but one corner is balled up and a little chewed-looking, like someone bit down on it.

It's the next best thing, if you can't have someone there to help you deal with pain.]
