[On Friday, C.E.C.E.'s morning announcement goes out as usual. But people coming out of their rooms to begin their day may notice a faint thumping sound coming from down the hall.

[Karamatsu can't stay near the art room. He can't. He has to just...go somewhere, and where he ends up is the Cafeteria upon rushing out of the hallway.

Hopefully there aren't MORE bodies in here?]

[Unfortunately, Shovel-kun is lying unmoving on the ground.]

[Oh shit. Well, it's hard to miss Shovel-kun just...laying there in the middle of the floor like that.

Karamatsu bends down to one knee next to the shovel, hesitant to actually touch it for the time being. Is it just shovel-kun here, or is there anything up with the area? Blood smears on and around the weapon, things like that?

Why must good shovels die young...]

[There's some purple stuff smeared on one of the shovel's sharp edges.]

...eh? What in the world...?

[Karamatsu leans in a bit closer, taking off his shades and hooking them on his collar. Okay so...he's not going to touch said purple stuff, so let's see if he can tell what it might be without...you know, touching it?

Does it have the consistency of paint or blood? Because we know someone with purple blood, and somebody just got made an example of over it.]

[It's not paint, and it doesn't seem to be exactly like any blood you've previously touched.]

[THAT IS....very weird. Karamatsu decides to stop being a weenie then and carefully lifts the shovel in both hands by its handle, careful not to touch the sharp metal edge.

He'll stand with the shovel in hand and check that purple stuff again once he's surveyed the rest of the cafeteria, his eyes roaming the floor, walls, and tables nearby. Is there anything else of note going on in here?]

[Nothing else. We will note, though, that the shovel is pretty darn heavy.]

[MMM YEAH...heavy shovel noted. Karamatsu actually drops it point first the first time he tries to pick it up, and the second time he's straining a little to keep it up off the ground.

He'll hang onto it though. It seems like this is going to be important later...]

The floor around where the shovel was lying is also scraped up! Which is weird, since it's metal.]

[NO ITS OKAY I MEAN LOOK WHO IS INVESTIGATING HERE HE PROBABLY MISSED IT

But he does notice the scrapes once he's stood up and has the shovel up off the ground. Huh, that is weird.

...just so I'm not remembering wrong, the floor here is also metal, yes?]
