[It's your first week here, and you've been offered a fantastic prize for killing someone: an all-expense paid vacation! It's a pretty standard prize as far as reality game shows go.

Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it), this isn't exactly a game show.

It seems that no one has died this weekend, and the deadline for the prize is now expired. There's no announcement from the Overseers to that effect; in fact, none of you have seen either of them since Tuesday. Maybe they'll make a reappearance soon, but for now, it seems that you've got a moment of peace.

[all right, he was out of the room for a few minutes and missed what happened, only getting the aftermath, but- he's a brother with a little sister he's let down before (his presence here might be), he understands the guilt]

You both are in this together, aren't you?

We are...assuming we are the only two here, anyway.

[andjerry]

I mean that you two support each other against everyone else. If there are three or even all six of you, that wouldn't change it.

[karappo]

[Karamatsu's response is a bit coming. How much is too much to say?]

We...try to be. Our family can be a bit dysfunctional at times.

[andjerry]

[He's willing to admit a little more; it's in writing, so not on camera, and this man is hurting.]

I think I understand. There are only two of us, but my sister and I hurt each other too, even if we love each other. Sometimes, strong personalities like hers can overpower others without realizing it.

[Oh Thomas...he knows how you feel.]

I did not know you had a sister, Thomas-san.

I'll have to tell you about her. She isn't here and we're not at all alike, but that doesn't mean I haven't been where you are.

Do you believe he thinks you were really trying to kill him?

[karappo]

Not at all. ...Well, I am reasonably sure he does not think that, anyway. He likes to exaggerate.

[andjerry]

He gets upset, and you apologize. And you feel worse about hurting him than he does about being hurt.

[karappo]

Basically. I guess it is worse because we intended this to be something to lift the mood...but I am not sure how much we succeeded in that regard.

[andjerry]

I hope it doesn't discourage you two from trying again! That's what we need right now, isn't it?

[karappo]

I like to think that it is. And I hope the others think so as well.

[andjerry]

They'll accept it. It sounded to me that Osomatsu was the only one who thought you might be trying to kill him.
