Week 1

[After the initial introduction of the Overseers, the Champions were left to their own devices in investigating the part of the ship they have access to to their hearts' content. However, the doors that Blaze Dudely and Rox came through are locked tight and cannot be unlocked via PIP.

On Wednesday morning, the same voice that awakened them the previous morning chirps at them again from their PIPs at 7 am on the dot.

[He whips out one of the Unearthed Arcana and proudly opens it to the Swashbuckler rogue archetype.]

Here we are - the swashbuckler! Those swashes will never see your buckling coming.

I mean, that works well, because I am a rogue with extra charisma.

[ She leans over to look over. ]

Ohhh, is this one of those- combat performing ones?!

Kind of! Not as much as, say, a bard, but dexterity is definitely gonna wanna be your highest stat.

Fuck yes. I am hella up for dexterity.

I am so going for the Dread Pirate archetype, holy shit. Out in the open and beating things up? Absolutely. Any races you recommend?

Hmm... I'd probably go with, a Drow, a Half-Elf, or the Lightfoot subrace of Halfling.

...The Drow Pirate Roberts.

Absolutely. Do you want her to be the original Drow Pirate Roberts or do you want it to be an inherited title.

Dude, she invented the title! She was so badass she said it once after a successful raid and people pissed themselves. She let them live so they could spread her story.

...They were slavers, of course, not gonna go full Evil.

Oh of course. Maybe she was kidnapped from the land of the Drow as a child, and saved from slavers by pirates. So now she raids slaver ships to free their cargo.

...And claim their non-living assets for herself and her crew, of course. Chaotic Neutral's probably your best bet.

That is a baller backstory, though, thanks. ...How many characters have you helped set up, dude?

We used to hold a session after hours in the cafe I work at. Rob was the DM, he was the best storyteller of us all. But we all had these big, overblown elaborate backstories and he tried to keep them all woven together.

Shit... Are you gonna try and do that with everyone? All our backstories, if we get...twenty-two people playing together, fuck. Longest combat rounds ever.

Honestly? I'm terrified of the mess it could turn into. But in a place like this, I can't really say no to anyone who wants to play, right?

I mean, I guess I could split up into two groups, or get someone else to DM.
