week one
[After the initial introduction of the Overseers, the Champions were left to their own devices in investigating the part of the ship they have access to to their hearts' content. However, the doors that Blaze Dudely and Rox came through are locked tight and cannot be unlocked via PIP.
On Wednesday morning, the same voice that awakened them the previous morning chirps at them again from their PIPs at 7 am on the dot.
Enjoy your week, Champions.]

And after it's done, there is no going back, correct?

[Discounting magic bullshit, time fuckery, and who knows what's out there in the universe.]

So he closes his eyes and takes a breath. When he opens them up again, there's a determined spark there.]
...Ms. Zombina. I would like to take you up on your offer.
no subject
[Zombina opens her mouth, reaches her hand up to grab an fang near the back of her mouth aaaaand- YOINK! +1 Zombie tooth has been gained. Just hive her a sec ta wipe it off on the rocket manual aaaand da da da daaaa! You have received one sorta dry pointy zombie fang!]
Remember. If you're near death then just make sure ta give yerself a prick with it. As long as the virus gets into the bloodstream, it'll take effect.
no subject
Understood, and thank you very much. If there's anything I can do for you in exchange, I would be glad to.
1/2
[Saving an life is a fair trade for a tooth.]
2/2
[ZOMBINA!]
no subject
Of course. I suspect I need to practice some before I'm capable of making something adequate, but it'll be done.
[He glances over to the manual (which i guess has zombie saliva over it rip) she had open previously.]
Did you need some assistance with that as well? I am far from an expert on space travel, but I have had some experience with it.
no subject
[Zombina hastily wipes the zombie saliva off the poor manual and gets up to pull an chair over for Slaine.]
I barely understood some of the things being talked about in this manual, so it'd be a major help if ya could assist me with this!
no subject
[Once he settles himself there he'll just flip through the pages a little. Some of it still looks unfamiliar to him, but he's had some experience reading technical manuals even if... they were mostly for transport planes and whatnot.]
Were you thinking that we could improvise something using the materials we had on board?
no subject
[Zombina shrugs.]
Honestly I'm looking for anything relevant ta our situation or that could help. But that's a way better idea than any I've been able ta come up with!
[She's just gonna jot that idea down, tyvm.]
no subject
[Also hiding something like that... would be pretty hard even if they could somehow do something with what they had.]
We may have a better chance at trying to find a transport ship on board. It's unlikely that they will allow us to do so easily, but it would be safer and while I cannot make any guarantees, I may be able to pilot it.
no subject
[Preferably people other than her though.]
Eh, really?! Where'd ya learn ta do that?!
[YOU SEEM A LITTLE YOUNG TO PILOT.!]
no subject
[It's such an optimistic point of view, but... it's pretty nice to see, honestly. But uhhh how much does he want to talk about this piloting thing hrm. Then again, most people here don't even seem to recognize Vers as a nation, so...]
I received some basic training as a servant of the Orbital Knights. It was so that I may assist with Kataphrakt retrieval and drop-off.
no subject
[Zombina says both of those things with clear confusion in her voice. She still mentally files away the part about being a servant though.]
Can ya do me a favor and elaborate on what both of those are?
no subject
Um, the Orbital Knights are the elite of the Vers military. Each of them owns and pilots a Kataphrakt, which are humanoid, manned weapons with various specialized capabilities. However, many of them are not flight-capable and thus require some manner of transport to take them to the battlefield; that is where my role lies.
[so yeah... giant mecha delivery boy here.]
no subject
[The age to get in the JSDF is 19, so Zombina's a bit suprised that he's in the millatary at such an young age.]
Still, these Kataphrakt must be pretty damn impressive ta see up close!
no subject
[...]
Yes, they can be quite overwhelming. For example, the Hellas uses near-invulnerable, rocket-propelled fists to pursue and destroy the enemy. But... they all have their weaknesses in the end.
no subject
Damn, I would not like ta be in a life or death fight against one of those things. Anyway, outta curiousity, are ya okay with being in the military Slaine-kun? Or if Count Cruhteo didn't insist, would ya have not even considered it?
[Zombina isn't really sure she's gonna like the answer to that question.]
no subject
[That. Sure is an answer.]
no subject
[Sooo either strong national pride, or someones gotta crush are Zombina's guesses.]
no subject
The princess of the Vers Empire, Her Highness Asseylum Vers Allusia. I have sworn my loyalty to her.
no subject
[She'll... she'll just mentally call her A.V.A.]
So what's she like? I'm guessing pretty impressive if ya swore your loyalty ta her.
no subject
Yes, she is. She has empathy and kindness beyond measure, for both friends and strangers alike. And despite the disparity between our positions and my heritage, she has always treated me as an equal. But above all, I will never forget the day she saved me and my father's life, and gave us a safe haven in the Vers Empire.
