Week 1

[After the initial introduction of the Overseers, the Champions were left to their own devices in investigating the part of the ship they have access to to their hearts' content. However, the doors that Blaze Dudely and Rox came through are locked tight and cannot be unlocked via PIP.

On Wednesday morning, the same voice that awakened them the previous morning chirps at them again from their PIPs at 7 am on the dot.

Enjoy your week, Champions.]

No problem.

[he shuffles the deck and fans it out]

Pick a card, and don't let me see it.

Memorize it, then put it back.

[once he does he shuffles again in a few flashy ways, then passes his hands over the cards a bit, shuffles again...

Then reaches up behind Tsurugi's ear... and with a flick of his hand comes back with a card]

Isssss this your card?

[damn good trick. it'd be even better if it was in fact the right card. At least the slight of hand worked...?

No, not at all.

[He probably could've pretended like it was, but... nah.]

But it was very impressive nonetheless! You're very good at that!

[The slight of hand, not so much the rest of the trick. But he does seem earnestly impressed by it.]

[Akira groans]

I still haven't got that part down yet.

[He cuts the deck and flicks out a few cards. One of them being the right one]

I get close but never the exact one.

Well, it's still an excellent start. It's certainly more than I can do.

I'm sure you'll get the hang of it eventually.
