Week 1

[After the initial introduction of the Overseers, the Champions were left to their own devices in investigating the part of the ship they have access to to their hearts' content. However, the doors that Blaze Dudely and Rox came through are locked tight and cannot be unlocked via PIP.

On Wednesday morning, the same voice that awakened them the previous morning chirps at them again from their PIPs at 7 am on the dot.

[Luna isn't rushing into anything. Not while she knows the situation is against her, and especially since Prompto is here. He seems so fragile...

She looks at Thomas curiously before nodding.]

If you are willing to make something, I would not mind trying. I must admit I am far too used to being served to be of much use with a machine such as this.

[He still sees something in her eyes as she speaks to him, but that has to be his own eyes playing tricks on him. Does she even want him paying attention to her? He doesn't mean any harm, but if he says that it'll make him look creepy.]

I'm sorry for presuming. It's only- it's what I do. [but yes, sure, he'll make you something, serving is really all that's kept him sane]

You're a princess, right? It's only normal you're used to others helping you- it must be hard.

You don't need to apologize. This provides us an opportunity to get to know one another. [She can tell there's something off, even just a little, but no need to call the poor man out on it.]

Former princess. I do what I am allowed. Even if I have lost my title, as Oracle, I am treated much the same as I was when I was the princess. You do not have to treat me any differently than the others. My title means very little here.

[Former princess and oracle still, sounding so dignified- absolutely nothing like Emily. He grows less tense - doesn't relax, he can't ever really do that - as she's answering.]

Are you allowed to do very much? [He gestures her a step closer, as if he wants her to watch what he's doing.]

I was allowed to do less than most people here in this station, I believe. I never cooked for myself, nor did I ever get to travel before I left for Lucis. There were a few other things, but these are arbitrary. [Yes, she was allowed to dress herself.

She moves closer, ready to watch him.] So how does this machine work?

Well, uh... we'll start simple, so you have something you can do yourself. [He's cautious after Korra's experience with it and starts walking her through grounds and water. Almost as an aside, after a couple steps of her following him/]

People wanted to protect you. You were important, right?

Thank you. [She's a fast learner, and unlike Korra, has handled some machines.

She nods as that question.] Yes. I'm the Oracle, after all. My death would plunge the world into darkness.

[andjerry]

[you know? after everything else he has heard this week, he'll just. accept this. and exhale heavily.]

...and someone's looking out for you now? [he's not volunteering, that's creepy. he just can't watch more people get hurt. if someone gets the idea that they're going to escape, it's much easier to go after a woman.]

Prompto, and to a degree Korra as well. They seem to want to keep an eye on me.

I'm glad. If you have a purpose- a reason to leave, right- all of us have to stay safe.

[and he leaves that thought be, returning to guiding her]

If you need to stay awake, now you don't need to wake someone else up.

My purpose is the same as Prompto's... but it doesn't make anyone else's less important...
