Week 1

[After the initial introduction of the Overseers, the Champions were left to their own devices in investigating the part of the ship they have access to to their hearts' content. However, the doors that Blaze Dudely and Rox came through are locked tight and cannot be unlocked via PIP.

On Wednesday morning, the same voice that awakened them the previous morning chirps at them again from their PIPs at 7 am on the dot.

[ surprisingly, yuri is out and about today. he's actually jogging laps back and forth in the hallway, and he actively avoids miki while she's pacing. it's not until she takes of sprinting when he can't help but notice her. if she's trying to increase her stamina, she's doing it all wrong, he thinks. not like he's going to say anything to the girl who whacked him on the head.

but he's looking at her funny. ]

[stillstands]

[gotta go fast. or, rather, that's what she's focused on. running because she can, as fast she can, just to prove she still can, if she has to.

eventually, she slows down, pausing against one of the walls to catch her breath. and that's when she catches sight of Yuri jogging around the same area, and the look on his face.]

... What?

[quadjumps]

Are you trying to improve your endurance.

[ it comes out more like a statement than a question, but that's...usually the case with yuri, anyway. ]

[stillstands]

[Friendly.]

Eventually, yes.

But I just wanted to run for a bit. [To... prove she could. And to work off some stress.]

Is that what you're doing?

[quadjumps]

I'm trying to keep in shape. I can't go back home and be some kind of fatso or something.

[ rude, yuri. ]

[stillstands]

[she just looks down at him. Yuri, you're tiny.]

I don't think you've got anything to worry about there.

[quadjumps]

It's not just that. I have to stay fit, or my stamina will go to shit. I need it if I want to continue to skate.

[stillstands]

[Oh. ... Skating, huh? He doesn't say whether it's roller or ice, but--]

You're an athlete, then? If you're worrying about maintaining stamina and fitness levels.

[quadjumps]

Yeah. I don't care how long we're stuck here; I'm not giving up my training.

There'd better be a fucking ice rink somewhere around here.

[stillstands]

Good. Don't.

[She sounds firm.] Exercise is good for you, and it's gives you some time to just... not think about things.

[Ah, that answers that question then. But, come to think of it, was his title something to do with ice skating?]

We haven't come across one yet. I wonder if there's more to this place we'll be allowed to see.

[quadjumps]

Yeah. Like being trapped in a spaceship in the middle of nowhere with no place to go.

[ wow, yuri ]

I sure hope so. I'm going to lose my mind if all we have is this floor to keep ourselves occupied.

[stillstands]

Well, yeah.

[She'd be jogging to forget the same thing, honestly.]

If there is, then that'd be something else to keep us occupied. Finding other floors.

[quadjumps]

[ finding other floors... ]

I'm gonna look around.

[ HE'S RUNNING OFF... ]

[stillstands]

[Abort mission.]

H-hey, wait! [SHE'S RUNNING AFTER YOU, YURI.]

[quadjumps]

[ yuri is going straight to the teleporter. when he gets there he's going to just. stand on it? does anything happen?

nope. ]

This doesn't even work!

[stillstands]

[Yes thank you, Yuri. She never would've guessed.]

Maybe there's a way to turn it on... I'm going to look for a button, or console or something.

[quadjumps]

Unless we're just locked out completely.

...Do you see anything?

[stillstands]

[She's done a circuit of the teleporter, but pops up on the other side of it looking a bit put out.]

Nothing obvious. I think it could work but...

[quadjumps]

[ hm. ]

At least we know this exists. We just have to find out how to unlock it, somehow.

[stillstands]

Right.

[ POSITIVE THINKING with Miki and Yuri

She raps her knuckles against the edge of it.]

And once we figure that out, who knows what we'll find. There might be other floors, or even an exit that we might be able to access.

[quadjumps]

[ NICE. ]

We have to find them. I just don't know how.

[stillstands]

There's no point in rushing things, if we break something we'll be in trouble [as in punishment trouble], and they might not fix the damage. Maybe we should see if there's someone who's good with machinery and ask them to take a look at it?

[quadjumps]

That'd be against the rules too, right? If they tampered with it, anyway. Guess it wouldn't hurt if they just took a look at it.

[stillstands]

Having a look at it doesn't mean they have to touch it. [In fact it implies the opposite entirely, c'mon Yuri.]

There's no rule saying we can't examine the things around us. Some people have been actively doing that, sidestepping the rules so to speak.
