Good Morning, Champions. In the interest of maintaining healthy sleep patterns, a day/night cycle is in effect. Your presence is expected in the cafeteria in exactly one hour.

[The voice comes through not a large speaker, but through the device that's attached to each Champion's arm. Further investigation of the features of the device will reveal a list of profiles, a mini-map, and a list of rules. The hallways are shiny white and silver, with running lights along the floor and lights on the ceiling, and at the junction of the hallways is a sign with a knife and fork icon and an arrow pointing down the hall.

[Penny's Semblance is being adorable and lovely and also 12 swords.]

... That sounds more like supernatural powers than something that would be classed as a natural ability where I'm from.

People can have the natural ability to train skills, like running fast but not ridiculously so, and not with -[Rose petals?] - rose petals...

Developing your Semblance still definitely takes training, and it can always be improved on. But the actual ability is unique, you can't learn to use someone else's specific Semblance.

[Twelve swords. Maybe more. Imagine.]

It's not really supernatural, though, it's genetic.

[Who'dathunk it. It's almost like it's in her title or something.]

See, where I'm from we just wouldn't have any of those sorts of abilities genetically. We just wouldn't be able to.

So, you use this powers and fight these monsters to keep them under control...?

[Man, where were you when the zombie apocalypse happened back home.]

We use our weapons too.

[The Semblances are an advantage, but they're not all exactly combat-oriented on their own.]

And- not under control, exactly, there's FAR too many for that, but we keep them from getting too close to the kingdoms or villages.

That's still better than having them running amock. Any safe space is better than none at all...

[And a dedicated, trained group focusing on maintaining that safe space. It'd make a difference from four scared teenage girls having to maintain a constant level of vigilance to keep one or two floors of a building safe. A big difference.]
