Good Morning, Champions. In the interest of maintaining healthy sleep patterns, a day/night cycle is in effect. Your presence is expected in the cafeteria in exactly one hour.

[The voice comes through not a large speaker, but through the device that's attached to each Champion's arm. Further investigation of the features of the device will reveal a list of profiles, a mini-map, and a list of rules. The hallways are shiny white and silver, with running lights along the floor and lights on the ceiling, and at the junction of the hallways is a sign with a knife and fork icon and an arrow pointing down the hall.

[Kara you're successfully convincing her you actually don't deserve that title, congratulations.]

I actually DID make a friend for the first time not that long ago. We ran into each other one day and it just sort of happened.

Oh! Your very first friend? Really?

[That is...a bit surprising, given what he just said about her.]

Really! Her name is Ruby and she's training to be a Huntress like me, and she was admitted to Beacon Academy and made leader of her own team two years earlier than normal!

[Yeah, she is. Gushing. Just a bit.]

We only met a few days ago, but- she called me "friend" right after we did. It was absolutely sen-SATIONAL.

I am very happy for you, then. It is always exciting when you make your first friend, especially one who has made as many accomplishments as this Ruby.

It WAS very exciting, thank you! I- don't think my father was very happy about it. But I hope to see her again a lot more in the future!

Ah, your father...had something against you making a friend?

He's very protective.

[Possibly of the people AROUND Penny, but it's true.]

...And there was, um. A bit of an incident, that resulted in some collateral damage. He may have been a little upset about that.

Oh...well, surely it was an accident, right? That would have been understandable.

Um. Yes and no? Someone attacked Ruby and I stepped in to defend her, that was intentional. I- suspect he might think I went a little too far in response.

[karappo]

Ah...well, I do think that you defending her was the right thing to do. There should be no harm in having done that, especially not for a friend.

I thought so, thank you! ...I suppose he might have been upset about the cargo containers exploding, though.

Yes, I can...see where something like that might have been a problem...you are a lot stronger than I would have imagined.
