Welcome to the Program
Good Morning, Champions. In the interest of maintaining healthy sleep patterns, a day/night cycle is in effect. Your presence is expected in the cafeteria in exactly one hour.
[The voice comes through not a large speaker, but through the device that's attached to each Champion's arm. Further investigation of the features of the device will reveal a list of profiles, a mini-map, and a list of rules. The hallways are shiny white and silver, with running lights along the floor and lights on the ceiling, and at the junction of the hallways is a sign with a knife and fork icon and an arrow pointing down the hall.
Welcome to the Excellence Program, Champions. Time to get to know your teammates.]

Who's there?!
[Slaine's first instinct is also to get behind something but yeah there sure is nothing else in this hall huh. Still, once the inital shock wears off he slowly moves to peep into the game room. what's up dude, don't freak him out again too]
no subject
Don't come any closer! I'm armed!
[Armed with a DnD guide. That's 1D8+1 for damage. BEWARE.]
no subject
But either way, the movement and answer makes him duck his head out of the doorframe and press his back against the wall next to it. No gunshots is a good sign he guesses, but he's still alert for the sounds of any further movement.]
Who are you? Are you responsible for this?!
no subject
[He only got a quick glimpse, but the guy definitely looked Imperial.]
no subject
...Do you know where we are right now?
no subject
...No?
[It's gotta be one of those things, like, we know you know what you did, so start talking, buddy, right?]
no subject
Then... I believe we are in the same position right now. [He lets out a breath and peeks out from the doorframe again, although it's far less wary compared to last time.]
no subject
So, youuuu're... not with the army?
[Seriously, guy, you're almost a dead ringer for that Loqi dude.]
no subject
...No, I'm not. I'm on neither side of the conflict.
[Reassuring??? maybe not??]
no subject
Okay. Okay, sorry, I just... it's been a really long couple of days, dude, and throwing this on top is just. It's just a lot.
[He plunks that heavy book on the table and lets his head and arms flop across the surface beside it. It's been less than an hour and he's already exhausted.]
Why does everything happen so much?
no subject
N-no, it's all right. I apologize for my conduct as well. [And he'll bow quickly at him. Also totally going to be taking that question literally??]
I'm... not sure why, but if we look around this place more, we may be able to find an exit.
no subject
Oh, dude, hey, uh. No need to bow to me. [He lifts his hands. Easy there, buddy.] I'm not royalty or anything. My name's Prompto Argentum. What's yours?
[He finally stands and brushes off the knees of his jumpsuit before offering Slaine a still-awkward smile.]
no subject
Slaine Troyard. Um... pleased to meet you, even under the circumstances.
[He also... doesn't really smile back, but he does look awkward?! That's one out of two, right?]
no subject
[Prompto takes the opportunity to take stock of the room, crossing his arms and peering at the tables and shelves.]
Man, what is this place?
no subject
[He was bluffed out with a book... should he feel ashamed? Maybe a little??]
No, please don't worry about it.
[But since Prompto's looking around, Slaine figures he might as well too, although he handles the stuff a little daintily. That sure is Candyland he's holding.]
I believe this is a recreational room. [...] It seems... they really are serious about keeping us here for a while.
no subject
I... I guess that's better than a prison without a rec room...
[He picks nervously at his PIP, though not hard enough to trigger the electric shock function, and keeps looking.]
But if they got us in, there's got to be a way to get ourselves out, too. That's, you know. Just how entrances work.
no subject
Right. I haven't explored much else around this place yet, but hopefully we can find something we can use. And... if we find any wardens around, we might be able to interrogate them for information too.
[He's ready...?? ...And sort of wishes he had a gun.]
no subject
[Slaine, my dude, that is so something an Imperial officer would say.]
no subject
[it just means getting information out of people however possible, right???]
no subject
[Like what Prompto's been afraid will happen to him since the moment he assumed he was in an Imperial base?]
no subject
no subject
[As opposed to what, Prompto?]
no subject
[Probably...?? Hm.]
no subject
[Which is why he was panicking.]
Though I guess an Imperial base with a rec room doesn't make a whole lot of sense, either.
no subject
[Vers is an Empire with all the stuff that entails but Slaine is pretty sure their bases don't look like this?? Also people don't really go around calling them Imperial such and such, but.]
Um... are you talking about the Vers Empire?
