Welcome to the Program

Good Morning, Champions. In the interest of maintaining healthy sleep patterns, a day/night cycle is in effect. Your presence is expected in the cafeteria in exactly one hour.

[The voice comes through not a large speaker, but through the device that's attached to each Champion's arm. Further investigation of the features of the device will reveal a list of profiles, a mini-map, and a list of rules. The hallways are shiny white and silver, with running lights along the floor and lights on the ceiling, and at the junction of the hallways is a sign with a knife and fork icon and an arrow pointing down the hall.

Welcome to the Excellence Program, Champions. Time to get to know your teammates.]
lmafo: you put your hands in the air and (they are your bitches because)

Whoah, "Champion of Denial" was right. Hang on, I gotta ask you something before you dramatically leave!
playthedamncard: (bitch please)

[It'd be more dramatic if he had his fwhooshy coat. Despite his better judgement, he at least stops. He doesn't turn his head enough to actually look at her, but it's acknowledgement, which is better than nothing.]

How does a person actually dislike friendship?

When it gets in the way and doesn't serve your purposes.

[He does still believe, mostly, that acting alone and by himself is the best course of action. Hell, he'd doubled down on that idea during Battle City, even during the finals. But what Yuugi (or...the Other Yuugi) had said to him, what he'd shown him?

Maybe he could acknowledge that there was something to be said for it. In certain circumstances. For certain people. Was it friendship they had, anyway? Or merely a rivalry that was occasionally friendly?

He hadn't bothered trying to have friends since the orphanage. So fuck if he's going to change his stance on the whole ordeal out loud to these strangers.]

How does someone like funerals?
lmafo: and then you wildly remove your clothes (and you hug your closest friend)

holy shit

[ But okay, no, he asked her something in return. Uh... hm, how to answer that one. ]

That one's weird to me too, but... I guess I've always kinda wanted to do one? I don't wanna go out killin anyone so I can funeralize them, duh, but I like the idea of celebrating instead of just sittin around cryin alone.

It seems to me it's better to get it over with as quickly as possible and move on, not wasting time lingering on it.
lmafo: because this could be your only chance (then slap a camel)

[personal profile] lmafo 2017-10-17 07:28 pm (UTC)(link)
[ She shrugs. ]

I mean I think funerals are for exactly moving on, but you know. You do you, buddy.

[Have a shrug in kind.] Besides, some peoples' lives aren't worth celebrating.
lmafo: then spin around in a circle (and take them right back out)

... Yeah, I'm not about to argue that one.
