Good Morning, Champions. In the interest of maintaining healthy sleep patterns, a day/night cycle is in effect. Your presence is expected in the cafeteria in exactly one hour.

[The voice comes through not a large speaker, but through the device that's attached to each Champion's arm. Further investigation of the features of the device will reveal a list of profiles, a mini-map, and a list of rules. The hallways are shiny white and silver, with running lights along the floor and lights on the ceiling, and at the junction of the hallways is a sign with a knife and fork icon and an arrow pointing down the hall.

This isn't following the same rules I'm used to, no. I can't 100% say it's not, but I'm open to other options being more likely now.

Better a bad situation you understand than one you don't. I think we might all be in the dark here, though.

Seems like it. Assuming none of this is faked our situation is almost too much to accept.

If this is faked, then someone has a really sick sense of humour.

[What if it's like those movies... the American ones with the weird puppet man. She'd always been curious about them, but was too young to see the dubbed versions in cinemas.

If a situation looks bad, there's no harm in retreating. Literally or not-so-literally, if it means we could get more information from them.

If it's just drugs or tracking we'll be lucky. But I already saw Kaiba-san get shocked by it. I'm itching for a fight, but I only pick ones I can win. We should play it cool if we can.

It wasn't enough to really hurt him, just give him a scare. But it was a threat- he was trying to take it apart.

So they have a definite purpose, if they don't want them removed or taken offline. But we don't know what that purpose is.

Kaiba-san and I tossed around a few theories but...

You said something about drugs... [Annnd now she's trying to see if she can peer under the device for any needles or sharp implements.] Is there a needle or something to administer it with in here...?

Not that I could find, but it's deep into our arms. It'd explain why we all woke up at the same time, if they could just knock us out whenever.
