Welcome to the Program
Good Morning, Champions. In the interest of maintaining healthy sleep patterns, a day/night cycle is in effect. Your presence is expected in the cafeteria in exactly one hour.
[The voice comes through not a large speaker, but through the device that's attached to each Champion's arm. Further investigation of the features of the device will reveal a list of profiles, a mini-map, and a list of rules. The hallways are shiny white and silver, with running lights along the floor and lights on the ceiling, and at the junction of the hallways is a sign with a knife and fork icon and an arrow pointing down the hall.
Welcome to the Excellence Program, Champions. Time to get to know your teammates.]

CAFETERIA
[Did. Did this woman who can't be but a few years older than roxy seriously ask that, with all the pauses and phonetic sounding and everything?]

It's letters. El em mayo! You know?

Oh! So it's supposed to spell something.
[She runs the letters through her head...]
...That doesn't spell any word I've heard before.

... It stands for "laughing my ass off." Not up on your texty lingos, huh?

[If it's a code then that makes more sense, but what a strangely lighthearted thing to put to code.]

[It's such a relief to not be in the dark about something weird anymore. Lucina's shoulders loosen up a bit, and she looks considerably relieved.]
What do those other codes mean? Perhaps my friends and I could use them.

[Still, Lucina finds herself smiling a bit. She likes these abbreviations.]
What is your name? Mine is Lucina.

It's good to meet you, Roxy. And...thank you, for answering my questions. I feel that I'm going to have a lot of them the longer we find ourselves here.

Aw, no worries, girl. I got plenty of experience explaining stuff.
