Week 5

[Five weeks in, and suddenly your numbers have been reduced by a lot. All evidence of Oda's methodical slaughter has been wiped away by the robots, but getting rid of the memories isn't going to be so easy. Not to mention the emotional scars.

Again on Sunday morning, you'll find yourselves with some new memories and some new items. Today, however, there are no new rooms.]

Sunday | Monday | Tuesday | Wednesday | Thursday

(( ooc: Don't forget to turn in your AC for Week 4, submit your memory regains, and put in your Benefactor threads! ))

I've got a dog costume which has something like a shirt and jeans on it, if you're desperate.

[Yup. Admittedly, he's forgotten about it where he'd bunched it in the corner of the room. But hey, if you're fed up of orange...]

But I doubt the experience would have been improved by giving us unitards in a neutral colour.

Does the shirt button at all? [Listen, his chest hair needs to breathe a little, Will. He's not Varric without a full, gleaming view of his wonderful chest.]

Who knows. Maybe a nice, calm blue would have kept our murderous impulses in check.

I think so. [Well, he wouldn't want to be the one to hide Varric's chest hair. Let it be free!] At least, I'm not going to be insulted if you want to get creative with it and a sharp object to... make it a little more open.

Colour therapy, you mean. Maybe there's some logic to that. But orange is supposed to be associated with happiness rather than wanton murder.

There are blades about I suppose. [He stroked his chin, thumb brushing along the area that had once been covered in a rugged stubble. Now he was developing a full-beard. Far too dwarf-y for his liking.]

Didn't know there was an actual title to it. [The DSM and other bits of modern psychology are still at least 100 years out, Will.]

But I suppose you haven't taken Space Orange into account, now have you?

I don't see any laws saying we can't cut up unwanted gifts. [Do what you want with it, Varric. He's never going to use it.]

"Title" is a loose word. It's holistic and bit more... loose in terms of scientific evidence rather than an actual recommended treatment. But I guess it depends on how much you buy into colours actually having an impact on your mood.

[He leans back, just a little.]

Alright. What does Space orange do that normal orange doesn't?

I'll take it then. Thanks, Will.

[Varric was quiet a moment longer, thinking hard on the merits of Sporange and its impacts on the human psyche.]

Clearly, it's just the right shade of orange that it tilts impulses from the calm and happy to the rage-filled and murderous. Likely due to the fact that's so damn bright and eye-scorching.

[Will just motions to the corner of the room. Help yourself, Varric. The weird dog costume is all yours to butcher as you like.]

Right. So we should've been going around with our eyes closed all this time. That was our mistake.
