Week 5

[Five weeks in, and suddenly your numbers have been reduced by a lot. All evidence of Oda's methodical slaughter has been wiped away by the robots, but getting rid of the memories isn't going to be so easy. Not to mention the emotional scars.

Again on Sunday morning, you'll find yourselves with some new memories and some new items. Today, however, there are no new rooms.]

Sunday | Monday | Tuesday | Wednesday | Thursday

(( ooc: Don't forget to turn in your AC for Week 4, submit your memory regains, and put in your Benefactor threads! ))

[ Okay, so at least he'd laughed, though his answer doesn't clear much up. Is that...an animal? An alien race? CT frowns, trying to recall if she's ever heard the word before. It sounds like it could be familiar, but... ]

What's a chocobo?
nightcure: (over the waves)

[personal profile] nightcure 2017-09-14 03:28 am (UTC)(link)
It's a bird. Max has a picture of one on the camera she got.
tuskenlancer: (figure out what side you're on)

[personal profile] tuskenlancer 2017-09-14 03:32 am (UTC)(link)
And you...endangered them?

[ like, it's not good, but it hardly seems like imprisonment material. ]

I'm pretty sure that's a joke. You can ride 'em, and they can fight alongside you in battle, but I don't like doing that.

I guess "accidentally riding a chocobo into enemies and then dismounting, but they don't listen when you tell them to go" is seen as endangerment.
tuskenlancer: (Who do you think gave them the ammo?)

[personal profile] tuskenlancer 2017-09-14 03:41 am (UTC)(link)
Oh. Yeah, I guess it could be.

[ A joke crime. She almost feels jealous. Maybe none of them are supposed to be here, but at least Noctis doesn't have to feel guilty about what he'd done on top of everything else. ]

They really fight? Like...can you train them to do that, or do they just get mad and attack whoever gets too close?

[personal profile] nightcure 2017-09-14 03:44 am (UTC)(link)
... Compared to the others, it's definitely a joke.

[ But he's glad to get away from that line of conversation. Noctis shrugs. ]

I guess you could train them. But mostly they're just really loyal. If they like you, and you're threatened, they can get pretty vicious.
tuskenlancer: (relaxed)

[personal profile] tuskenlancer 2017-09-14 03:50 am (UTC)(link)
Wow.

[ It's sort of a cool thing to think about, if a little impractical. Birds wouldn't stand much of a chance against assault rifles. ]

Did you have your own?
nightcure: (a premonition)

[personal profile] nightcure 2017-09-14 03:58 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, they're pretty amazing.

[ He shakes his head. It would've been amazing, but. ]

Nah, I wish. I did have one that I rented out pretty much all the time, though. Blow of the whistle, and he was on his way.
tuskenlancer: (figure out what side you're on)

[personal profile] tuskenlancer 2017-09-14 06:20 am (UTC)(link)
Rented one?

[ Her eyebrows shoot up. ]

How do they stay loyal, if people are renting them out?
nightcure: (urban chrome)

[personal profile] nightcure 2017-09-17 09:24 pm (UTC)(link)
They're smart. They remember people.

And feeding them a lot of greens doesn't hurt.
tuskenlancer: (smiling)

[personal profile] tuskenlancer 2017-09-18 03:06 am (UTC)(link)
[ She smiles. ]

Of course. Bribery always works.

Especially when it comes to animals.

You got anything like chocobos back home, CT?
tuskenlancer: (thinking)

[personal profile] tuskenlancer 2017-09-19 04:50 am (UTC)(link)
Hmm...

[ She frowns, thinking. ]

...I know there were moa on Reach. They were supposed to be pretty big.

I guess someone could have ridden them, but I don't know if anyone actually did.
