Week 5

[Five weeks in, and suddenly your numbers have been reduced by a lot. All evidence of Oda's methodical slaughter has been wiped away by the robots, but getting rid of the memories isn't going to be so easy. Not to mention the emotional scars.

Again on Sunday morning, you'll find yourselves with some new memories and some new items. Today, however, there are no new rooms.]

Alright.

[ Something calming it is, then. Noctis leaves, and he returns a while later with two mugs of cinnamon cream tea. There's a little milk and sugar in each, and he offers her one before sitting down. ]

[She's already seated before he returns, hands together and fingers interlocked as she stared at them. She accepts the cup with a nod and the ghost of a smile.]

Thank you. It smells lovely.

[She'd feel better about it too if it wasn't. This week.]

[ It's a stark transformation, but who can blame her? She's just lost Apollo, and if he's guessing right, she had a bad dream. Memory. Whatever. ]

So... what's up?

I... suppose it wouldn't be too helpful to say that I've been having a bad time recently.

[Life has not been kind to Pyrrha Nikos recently.]

I had an awful dream last night.

Nah, but you have every right to be upset.

[ Even if she hadn't known Apollo long at all, does that matter? They had a bond, and Apollo had even held hands with Pyrrha in public. It's not a big thing to most, but he's got a feeling it took a lot from Apollo to do it. ]

What happened?

[Noct, you wouldn't believe how hard it was to get Apollo to go to that party in the first place.

He's getting straight to the point, and to dome degree, Pyrrha can respect that. The answer doesn't come quickly though, as Pyrrha stares down into the warm mixture in her hands, face drawn, quiet.]

I... I killed someone.

[ It's hard to imagine Pyrrha killing anyone, if he has to be honest. And he's sure the others would think so, too. So... ]

I'm guessing there's a story behind it.

[she looks up, not directly at him, but at least he can see her face now. She's... not doing too good.]

I dreamed... I remembered that I was in a tournament. I had made it to the finals, and I was fighting against this girl I... I didn't know. Everything was going fine, we were both safe, but... then...

[ ... he has a very distinct feeling he knows what she's going to say next, but. ]

Then everything went wrong?

I don't know how it happened, but... I killed her.

[nightcure]

[ He makes a motion, instinctively, to reach out and pull her into a hug, but stops himself at the last moment. ]

And you still feel guilty as hell, even though you don't know what was going on.

[She kind of... opens up to the gesture, but they both stop. So. hmm.]

Of course I do. I... I would never kill someone, not knowingly. [uuuugh it tears at her heart.] I try to be so careful...

[nightcure]

[ ... hey you know what fuck it. Noctis scoots closer and pulls her into a hug. ]

I know. You're one of the kindest people here. [ It's so mind-boggling that Pyrrha would kill someone. ] Someone tricked you--that's my best guess.
