[Eight weeks. Eight weeks of friendship and love, death and loss, hope and despair all muddled together in a cocktail that's too sweet on the tongue and leaves an acid-y pit in the stomach. With nine of them left (ten counting their dear but lone surviving host), things look darker than ever. Come Sunday morning the last of the Champions missing memories will be returned to them while they sleep. For some of them this will reveal answers, for others it might just be a fate worse than death. They could even be death.

But how does the song go? "It's always darkest before the dawn"?

There are no announcements from PAL this week. Not even morning and evening announcements.

[ooc: Welcome to endgame, everyone! We're all very proud of you for making it all the way to the end. As you can see this is going to be a short IC week but we promise things will not be going down until this weekend (7/7-7/9). On Tuesday we'll be unveiling the OOC post for what to expect during the final investigation. There is no official AC this week, just a check-in and as mentioned above characters will be at their true canon points on Sunday morning.

[ His face manages to flush even more somehow and he averts his eyes for a moment, looking sheepish. Hearing things like that said to him... well he almost can't believe it. But people have been telling him over and over that he's worth something, and he's finally believed it. Maybe he can believe that he is what Queenie says he is now too.

He looks back at up her finally. ]

...I really love you, you know. [ Exactly what kind of love he doesn't even know anymore honestly, it's complicated and weird. ] I never got to tell Takumi or Angel-chan but... I'm really glad. That I can tell you now.

[ Even in the heels he has to raise himself up a little to do this. He leans up and clumsily kisses her... on the cheek. Baby steps. She's kissed him so many times now it's time he repaid that a little bit. Afterwards he looks away shyly again. ]

So you can... do whatever you want to me. J-Just putting that out there...

[That kiss means so much, even amid all the kisses she's given and received that might just be the sweetest, even after kissing Jacob in the rain. She steps into him, wraps her arms around him and just holds him close for a moment.]

Sweetie, don't you do anything you don' want to, even if I want it. You should be comfortable with whatever's happening okay. We'll take things slow, yeah?

[ He's usually so stiff when hugged, not used to affection from people who aren't family, but this time there's no stiffness and he wraps his arms around her in kind. ]

Okay... but I trust you.

And I'm... I-I'm always comfortable with you.
