[Eight weeks. Eight weeks of friendship and love, death and loss, hope and despair all muddled together in a cocktail that's too sweet on the tongue and leaves an acid-y pit in the stomach. With nine of them left (ten counting their dear but lone surviving host), things look darker than ever. Come Sunday morning the last of the Champions missing memories will be returned to them while they sleep. For some of them this will reveal answers, for others it might just be a fate worse than death. They could even be death.

But how does the song go? "It's always darkest before the dawn"?

There are no announcements from PAL this week. Not even morning and evening announcements.

Sunday Monday Tuesday



[ooc: Welcome to endgame, everyone! We're all very proud of you for making it all the way to the end. As you can see this is going to be a short IC week but we promise things will not be going down until this weekend (7/7-7/9). On Tuesday we'll be unveiling the OOC post for what to expect during the final investigation. There is no official AC this week, just a check-in and as mentioned above characters will be at their true canon points on Sunday morning.

WEDDING CATCH-ALL

[ By evening, the garden is done up real nice. Some chairs have been dragged out, so those who aren't actively participating can sit, and they're set up so that the couple can get wed an improvised flower arch--courtesy of Nari. The pigeons are cooing in the background, as if trying to decide what would be an appropriate song for this event. There are bluebell flames set up around the garden to give it a lovely glow.

In the karaoke bar, there is food set out, ready to be eaten as soon as the ceremony is over. Included in this is a lovely wedding cake. There's also a bottle of Yatski Lopera on one of the tables--the one that seems to be for the brides. Again, there are bluebell flames at the tables, and there's small bouquets in bowls to give it a more formal air.

All that's being waited on are the brides and guests to arrive.

Before the wedding, Clarith can be found in Cece's room getting ready. Arianna has been taken off by Yuuri to get ready. ]

Cece's Room

[ This plan backfired. What the fuck. She's not sure what is even going on anymore, but apparently she's getting married. This is a ride. She's breathing, but it's a whirl of emotion. She's trusting Cece to take care of her. ]

[Cece is more than happy to take care of her. While Clarith is a whirl of emotion, Cece is a whirl of activity as she whips from Clarith to her closet with accessories in between adding small touches of make-up to her face.]

Blue, blue, blue, I have to have something blue in here.

[Blue goes best with red and white after all.]

Th-Thank you, Cece.

[ She's so confused about this, but she'll be fine. It's just. A lot. A whole lot. ]

[She stops her bustling for all of ten seconds and settles behind Clarith on her bed with a hairbrush and bobby pins.]

Did you have any ideas on what you wanted to do with your hair?

[Brushy, brushy.]

Not really. I never really... Dreamed of getting married, and I always just pulled my hair back to keep it out of the way.

[ It's very shimmery and pretty, at least, given she can bathe more often. ]

[goteachother]

[When Queenie ducks into the room she has a stack of papers with her, graphite smeared up to her wrists and a little smudge on her cheek where she'd brushed her hair back.]

Alright, Clarith, sweetie? I know most of your dresses are A-lines but that's not a style thing it's a simplicity thing....

How d'ya feel about a sheath dress? [And she flashes a grin over at Cece. Help with the convincing, honey.]

[desperateprayer]

[ ...Clarith knows nothing about fashion. She is just going to stare because what... Does that even mean. ]

[goteachother]

[And there's a sheet of paper being shoved in her hands.

And another...

And another.]

[desperateprayer]

[ THAT LAST ONE... Is the one that catches her eye the most. ]

Th-These are all so beautiful, Queenie. Really...?

[goteachother]

[She plucks the last one out of the pile and waves her wand over it. The curls of embroidery shift from grey pencil to a deep, rich purple wine color, a few shades more red than Arianna's hair.]

Contrast... or something softer? [Another wave and they fade to a pale blush pink.]

[desperateprayer]

...I like the darker.

[ ...Dark purple is actually one of her favorite colors. ]

Yuuri's Room

It's not that she doesn't want to marry Clarith, she does, she is 897% okay with that, she even definitely wants to do it right now (which is one reason she hasn't recognized the irony here), but EVERYTHING IS HAPPENING SO MUCH]

See how you like it, you little menace.

[ But Yuuri doesn't sound even the slightest bit mad. She's got Arianna sat at her dresser in front of the mirror and she's carefully brushing all that long, thick hair, making sure it's smooth and neat before she starts doing the real work. With all those flowers she's got in the mixing bowl sat on the desk. ]

How are you feeling? Nervous?

I feel as though my heart is going to burst.

[And that's with Yuuri's reassuring presence..]

Well, that's to be expected, isn't it? It's nervewracking enough when you've had more time to plan.

[ She doesn't mean it as a dig -- Arianna's a big girl and if she wants her wedding here and now then she deserves it. And everyone else seems so pumped up about it too. Maybe she and Junpei are just really weird and really Japanese. ]

You must be excited, too. Do you know if you're going to say any vows?

[Or, you know, maybe they're the only halfway sane people in this place. I said halfway sane. But as long as they're happy, right?]

I... I don't believe so. I tried, but nothing felt adequate.

[serrata]

Maybe you'll be inspired on the spot, once you see her standing there... you never know. Maybe it'll be even more sincere if you just say what's on your mind at the time rather than trying to come up with something beforehand.

[ She sounds like she knows what she's talking about which is kind of surprising coming from the lady who was so against the idea of her own wedding yesterday. ]

I... perhaps...

[She has to admit, if there's anyone here who could suddenly make a poet out of her, it's probably Clarith.]

It is only that... well... given the circumstances, it seems especially important that...

Ariaaaannaaaaa~~

[Queenie's practically vibrating with excitement. She's got a pile of papers with her and has clearly spent most of the early morning sketching out dress elements for them. She tucks one stack out of the way though, no peaking!

And fans out a few different A line and ballgown ideas right away.]

I have so many ideas!

[Arianna would never dream of peeking! She wants to be surprised! Although the resulting anticipation is one of the many things that have her almost hyperventilating.

Fortunately, a distraction!]

I want to see all of them!

[She means it! She's only just barely glimpsed this handful and she's already in love with every single one of them. Why aren't there six of her so she can wear them all?]

[Well here you go, Princess. Take the stack~

There's a few ballgowns.

And even a couple a-lines.]

[Arianna really has a hard time deciding! THEY'RE ALL SO PRETTY

But she eventually settles on A-Line Number One.]

Dame Queenie, you must have worked so hard on all of these...

Mmmm.... just sketches. And mostly variations on the same style...

I hoped you'd pick that one.

[And she grins, waving her wand over the drawing. The flower pattern shifts in color, a deep rich red violet.]

You like that color? [So the floral accents on both their dresses will match.] On ivory, not white. It'll give a little depth when you're standing next to each other and with Clarith's hair I had to use pure white for hers.

It's perfect!

[It's hard to imagine her reacting any other way, really.]

I'm certain we will both look beautiful. Although Clarith is always beautiful...
