[For the first time in several weeks there is no new memorial in the garden. No new body in the morgue, no bloody mess for the roombas to clean. Choromatsu is still in need of time to heal and constant vigilance but he's alive. They're all alive for once on a Sunday and, even with the terrible realizations their returning memories may bring, there's a sense of hope for the first time in a long time.

There is no new floor this week.

[ Nishitani lifts his glass and quickly downs it. That shit was not made to be shotgunned and yet down it goes! ]

[Not one to resist a challenge, Ardyn threw his own drink back and immediately wished he'd still been without a sense of taste. So this was what was going to kill him after two millennia and any number of horrific mortal injuries he'd regenerated from. Go figure.]

That was nightmarish, where did you ever learn bartending-?!

[ The culprit for week 6 is revealed early: Nishitani in the karaoke bar with a bad, bad mix of alcohol. He laughs. Of course he does. ]

I ain't learned shit! Ya think a guy like me don't got people ta mix me drinks? Ha!

[At that point, what else could one do at the sheer absurdity of the situation but burst out laughing?]

[Which was pretty much exactly what Ardyn did, and would probably have been goddamn terrifying to nearly anyone else.]

[ It's lucky Nishitani isn't anyone else, and for as much as he knows Ardyn is some scary monster, he doesn't actually care. This is just the appeal of Nishitani, you see. He gives very little fucks. He laughs alongside Ardyn and sees about pouring them something to at least drown out the burn of that awful aborted attempt at a beverage. Soda is probably safe, at least. ]

Here, least this won't taste like fuckin' lighter fluid.
