[ Yeah he's just... not going to focus on it for now. All he knows is Takumi and everyone else saved him and like Queenie said, that's the important thing. ]

[ He sniffles again and attempts to reach up weakly to wipe his own eyes, trying to ignore whatever pain he may feel in his arms, the reminder of what he did. His voice is strained. ]

I... I'm sorry...

[ He feels stupid. Like a stupid, selfish asshole. He knew what he was going to do would hurt everyone. The days he spent carefully writing his letter, already decided on doing this for days... all that time he knew it would. But he took that risk anyway. He figured things would eventually continue on as they always did here. Another death, another tally on the wall. A memorial would be made but they'd move on as well as they could. But knowing they all actually scrambled to save him and succeeded and have probably been worried sick about him for however long he was out...

He feels so guilty. ]

[Plenty of ways indeed. It's definitely something to think about, but... best left for when everyone else can contribute too. For right now there's Choromatsu to focus on.]

...You'll probably have to say that to a lot of people. But... that's good. [That he's sorry means he regrets it. It hardly makes him okay all of a sudden, but it probably means there won't be a repeat of this.] You're alive. Hold onto that. It's what matters most right now.

[He'll leave the comforting to Queenie because he's sure she'll be right on top of that.]

[Oh yes, right on top of the comforting. She's shushing him softly, stopping him from lifting his arms too high and instead dabbing at his eyes with the sleeve of her Kigu.]

[A kiss to his temple and then she's holding him tighter.]

Talk to someone, if you start feeling like that again, yeah? What were we just talking about, your ma and brothers and Totoko? You gotta get back and see them. So no givin up.

[Come on Choro, at the very least you can laugh at her butchering Totoko's name with her accent.]

[ Okay that does actually manage to get a little bit of a laugh from him. A breathless, short laugh but it's something through all the sniffling.
