[Akane does happen to be a flowering plant, but it's a really darn ugly one, whoops. Junpei thinks, then chuckles a little.]

Hahaha, no. I really don't know much about flowers. Uh...

[He crosses his arms and looks away as he tries to think of some.]

I mean, if I had to pick... are there any that mean, like. Summer? Or... keeping promises?

[ ... Summer and keeping promises.

There's a hundred flowers about faith, loyalty, promises, honesty... but she knows what he's thinking of and that only brings one flower to mind. ]

Then how about marigolds? They're summer flowers and they represent the warmth and the beauty of a sunrise. But... you can leave them as offerings for people who've passed on, too. That's what they mean -- respecting and honoring people who... aren't around anymore.

[ What better flower for O-Bon? ]

[Summer's important to Junpei for more reasons than one; but that's one of them, yes.]

...Which ones are marigolds? I mean, what do they look like?

They're orange and yellow -- very bright and warm and their petals fan out in layers. I think they're beautiful.

[ ... Yuuri likes most flowers though so that is perhaps not the least biased of opinions. ]

Yeah. Those sound nice.

[Orange for remembrance. He thinks about what one might look like woven into Yuuri's hair, moves his fingers as he thinks about tucking it in there himself--remembers he probably doesn't know which orange flower a marigold would be. Oh well.]

I can't tell you yet, I'm afraid. It's a surprise.

[ She shuts her accounting book, uses it to cover the coy little smile on her face, like that might better keep the secret. ]

But you'll find out on... Sunday? Probably Monday. It depends on when I can get it finished. But I won't keep you waiting too long.
