[Even with three deaths two weeks in a row, life in the Fantasy Sweet returns to some semblance of normalcy come Sunday morning. The messes are cleaned up, the bodies are safe in the morgue (or in Kip's case, still in a liquor bottle in the garden) and with this new week comes a fresh crop of returning memories.

There is no new floor this week.

I sincerely doubt that, but who the fuck knows? It was probably some dumb accident, like they didn't ground themselves while putting him together or something.

God. It really is a different world. I mean, I've known that all along obviously but knowing that and actually hearing you talk about it... it's still so surreal.

Imagine how I feel, I actually lived with these fuckheads. [He says it with such a fond look.] I haven't even talked about the tank that killed me, or my girlfriend's crazy AI that wants to take over the galaxy with Tucker's prophecy-riddled spawn, or the ten megaton bomb that blew everyone into the future and me into the distant past? I think? And the ship that crash landed on Donut, and the Parabola of Mystery, and that time I tried to scam Sarge out of money while he was dying because I told him he had to pay to get into heaven.

[ It sounds like a mess. It sounds dangerous and chaotic but more importantly, it all sounds so colourful and alive. It couldn't be any more different than the gray, static life dragging itself along through Megurigaoka day after day. ]

Then, I've got to ask -- what's your favourite story? What's the craziest thing that happened?

[ She gets the feeling she's probably going to regret asking this but right now, Church's motor mouth chatter is exactly the thing she needs to be hearing. ]
