week 6
[Even with three deaths two weeks in a row, life in the Fantasy Sweet returns to some semblance of normalcy come Sunday morning. The messes are cleaned up, the bodies are safe in the morgue (or in Kip's case, still in a liquor bottle in the garden) and with this new week comes a fresh crop of returning memories.
There is no new floor this week.
Sunday Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday
[ooc: Don't forget to to turn in your activity for week 5, submit your memory regains and put in your threads for the Benefactors!]

[She's actually surprised to see him here without her needing to drag him along. It's encouraging.]
It's just... memorizing what everything means and then interpreting the cards as they lay. That can be tricky sometimes.
I can read for you if you want... if it'd be too- close to home... I won't.

[096, 069, that actress, and that long dead fortune teller... What a messy situation that had been. But he is curious about this, so...]
How does it work?

I can focus on a particular aspect for you if you want me to? Romance, the future, self-awareness, normally I'd say work or money but here that's kind of... pointless.

[And she begins shuffling, taking her time, eyes closed and focusing. Once more the celtic cross and the first card is laid face up.
And she freezes, staring at the card for a long moment before finally letting her gaze flick from the 10 of Swords up to him.]
You sure you wanna do this, honey? [Before she's even laid the other cards...]

I'm sure. Whatever the result might be, I'd still like to know it.

I'm so sorry, sweetie.
[She pauses, holding her breath as she turns the other cards over, slowly letting it out only once the last card is faced up.]
The main obstacle blocking you is definitely a person, or at least the memory of one, someone practical and skilled, powerful and consistently growing more so. In the past you've been separated, intellectual but distant. Inspired but with no consistency. You felt like a victim of fate, unable to make your own choices or take your future in your own hands. There's a possibility of becoming something greater than you are, expanding your power but that comes with great risk. Compromising your moral integrity.
Right now you're trying to heal, to move forward. Doing so means examining yourself and your actions in the past. Not, necessarily comfortable but necessary for growth. Especially when everything around you is so chaotic. There's no cohesion, no single driving plan or purpose, which is what you've defined you life by. You hope for Justice to win out. And it can, but you have to think positively, be decisive and fair, no matter how tempting it is to give in to darker emotions.
There's so much potential for growth, and you can achieve that by putting your skills to work, making progress towards becoming that better person. Becoming the best of your people, honoring their sacrifice by becoming someone they would all be proud of. It's your right, your place... to show us the best of what you can be.

And then it goes on. An obstacle in the form of a person. A victim of fate... Moving forwards... There's a lot there and maybe this is all just coincidental, because they're just cards after all, but it's...
It's striking.
The end as well. He's feeling so stuck in the now, in the revelations that have happened, the recent tragedies... Moving forwards and making progress hadn't been given much thought lately. To have the possibility of it laid out so clearly is... something. He'll have to give it more thought.
It's only when the silence stretches out that he realizes he's been quiet for too long. He nods slowly, as if accepting the reading.]
I see... [There's a lot to digest here.] I don't know exactly what I expected, but that was...
[He trails off. He doesn't really have the words.]
Thank you. I... Well. There's a lot to keep in mind there.

There is... I know it's a lot to take in all at once so just.... think about it? Only you can really know how much meaning there is in there.
But if you wanna talk it out I'm always happy to listen.

[Maybe the beginning? Well. Not the very beginning. That one doesn't require a lot of thought. So moving on from that...]
My obstacle is a... person, you said, yes? Well. I suppose that one isn't too difficult to figure out...
