week 6
[Even with three deaths two weeks in a row, life in the Fantasy Sweet returns to some semblance of normalcy come Sunday morning. The messes are cleaned up, the bodies are safe in the morgue (or in Kip's case, still in a liquor bottle in the garden) and with this new week comes a fresh crop of returning memories.
There is no new floor this week.
Sunday Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday
[ooc: Don't forget to to turn in your activity for week 5, submit your memory regains and put in your threads for the Benefactors!]

[At least now that Rhys is gone.
She nods, beginning to shuffle and laying out a five card spread. The first card makes her smirk.]
The Devil... fitting for your current situation. Don't worry he's not evil. He represents the ego. And... learning to balance taking care of your needs without succumbing to it, or even falling too far the other way.
[Then she actually takes a moment to look over the full spread, her expression growing darker by the second. Finally she moves from her seat to drop herself into Church's lap, wrapping her arms around him and kissing him firmly.]
Like I said, I ain' so good with these.

Which, okay, that's...okay, because it's tarot, and even with magic tarot is bullshit, right? It's not, psh, it's not real, cards an't predict the future, and also, he definitely likes lap-sitting and face kissing. That's real good right there. Except for now he's really concerned? About stupid cards??]
Wait--hey, c'mon, you can't just leave it at that... They're just cards, right, and it's not all set in stone.

[Of all the things he could have said to make her actually tell him what it says that's probably the best thing. If he knows he can be aware of it, he can try to change it.]
It's not just cards but... it's not good, Leonard. More'n that... it's actually pretty awful.
[Are you prepared for this?]

She does shift in his lap and start touching the cards, going through and explaining one by one. Generalizing the whole thing would be too awful.]
The past as it influences the present. Eight of swords... Interference, ideas squandered, loss of focus, lack of persistence. Bad luck...
The immediate future. Ten of Wands... Corruption, struggle, limited creativity and a dulling of the mind. The need to purify a declining state of affairs.
The source of this situation. Three of swords... [And here she hiccups slightly, pulling his arm around her waist and coaxing him into squeezing her.] Mental discontent. Suffering... restriction of emotion and learning through a painful situation.
And lastly.... the outcome, your potential. Seven of cups... Illusion. Indulgence in dreams and the need to differentiate between aspiration and fantasy. Errors in judgement... wishful thinking.

So...what you're saying is...I'm gonna keep being stuck here, and it's gonna keep sucking, until I start questioning--again--if this place is actually reality or not. Basically.

It's not like she's going to take it back, though.]
I think... maybe that's the point. As awful as all of this it is our reality right now and we have to deal with it.
Not just bury it.

...Did you just call me baby?
no subject
Okay okay, I'm sorry I just... tell you what I see, you get to take it from there, alright. I can't do any more than read the cards.
[And then she lets her forehead fall to rest against his, eyes closed for a long moment.]
I did... Sorry if that... bothers you.

[He signs slowly, arms tightening around her.] Most of my pet names haven't been the most polite words. 's different.

Leonard, sweetie... hmmm... [Now she's just going to give him little pecks to punctuate each word while she thinks.]
what-about-hmmm- motek?
[Sorry, Leonard you can't have "baby" that's Kip's name.]

[She bites her lip and cocks a brow.]
Well... a way that is rather inappropriate for public ears. [Which... means she kinda likes it.]

[Full of suggestion and purred against his lips.]

Oh.
Well. Ahem. Yes, captains do issue orders and expect them to be followed. Exactly what I was referring to.

I'm sure it was~
