[Even with three deaths two weeks in a row, life in the Fantasy Sweet returns to some semblance of normalcy come Sunday morning. The messes are cleaned up, the bodies are safe in the morgue (or in Kip's case, still in a liquor bottle in the garden) and with this new week comes a fresh crop of returning memories.

There is no new floor this week.

Am I that easy to see through?

[ Look at this, compared to the girl who got flustered and defensive at the very suggestion that her feelings might be anything but purely platonic. ]

I'd... like to see what might happen. What could happen.

[Queenie giggles with her, hands reaching for the deck and beginning to shuffle. It doesn't take as long as when she was doing Clarith's but she's not seeking the future so much as reaching for how they work together and what that could mean.

The first card of the spread goes down and she laughs.]

Emperor?! Mmmhmm... ojou-sama indeed. [Hold on she has to stop giggling to explain why this is funny.]

[ That's said with a laugh, muffled, into the hand she's using to cover her face. The tarot cards are calling her out. ]

[And then she bites her lip because as funny as the first card was the second is... not.]

Second card is your mental connection... eight of cups ain't exactly a good card. It's... indolence. Decline of interest in external affairs, inertia. Maybe a bit too much getting wrapped up in each other and finding level ground instead of pushing each other to be better.

[She can't help but think of Junpei on Sunday. So concerned for her that he'd neglected himself. Worrying only about her and not about himself or their situation as he had been.]

I'm sure it's mostly this place though.

[ ... Okay, now she is suddenly feeling a little bit of regret about this because what if they get the worst reading ever. ]

You're... probably right. But I guess that's the point of something like this, isn't it? If you figure out that it's a problem, you can go ahead and fix it.

Exactly. The cards are objective... it's our job to kinda... determine how to take what they tell us.

[And card number three... gets a squeal because that is too goddamn cute]

The Ace of Wands~ is all about one's creative potential. It's a very powerful card, one of the most powerful in the minor arcana. The root of possibility, self-realization and enthusiasm from new projects. Creation and oh gosh you are going to do wonderful things together.

She looks a bit startled at that -- at such a positive, enthusiastic response. At such a positive result, apparently.

She certainly doesn't doubt Queenie but she squints down at the card a little cautiously. Like she doesn't quite dare believe it. ]

[ You can't blame her for being a bit surprised at such good future fortune in the murder mansion. ]

It's-- it's really that powerful?

It's a real good card, sweetie.

I wouldn' lie to ya, certainly not about something like this.

[ Maybe it's a bit silly to feel so... bolstered by a card reading. Especially when they've got PAL hanging over their heads and Friday is just around the corner. But when Queenie makes it sound so wonderful and sounds so excited about it herself, Yuuri can't help but smile too. ]

Good. Then I'll take that to heart.

[ You are going to do wonderful things together.

Wouldn't it be just as wonderful if that was true? ]

[And then she's tugging Yuuri up into a hug, holding the other woman close.]

I'm so happy for you, honey.

[ She can't help but laugh and gives Queenie a tight squeeze. This is the kind of magic Queenie works best, she thinks: the way she lights up a room and puts smiles on people's faces. It's amazing. ]

Planning for the future, though... have you been doing any of that?

Mmm, a little.

When all this is over and you and your boy get us all outta here? [Cue a sappy kind of smile and a faint blush.] Tani's comin back to New York with me. Pretty sure I can get him a gig with Gnarlak.

[ ... oh my god, Queenie is taking Nishitani home. That's so cute!! ]

You kept that quiet! [ she sounds so happy for them though. nishitani and queenie!! hell yeah!!! ] I'm so glad, though -- when did the two of you decide that?

Well... it was last weekend and everyone was so upset and-

He don' exactly have anything to go back to, as it turns out. So... 'm keepin 'im I guess. [She tries to sound casual about it but Queenie, shameless Queenie, is still blushing.]

... Mhhm. I understand.

[ Ohhhh yes, she understands exactly. ]

Do you both know what he's going to be doing with himself when you get there?

I know a goblin what runs a pretty nice speakeasy. We... ain't on the best of terms, apparently, but slide a few drakots his way and I'm sure Gnarlak would love to have someone with Tani's experience workin for him.

[serrata]

Good. I'm so happy for you both.

[ she gives Queenie's hand an excited little squeeze just to prove it. ]

After a place like this, we all deserve somewhere to settle down and get a fresh start. I'm so glad you two can do that with each other.

Me too... Gosh Tina's gonna be so mad though. Me comin home with an older fella, and a criminal to boot.

[But she doesn't seem worried about it, more amused than anything.]

What about you two? You and Junpei... you gonna be alright going back to his time? After we go get your friends, that is.

[serrata]

Well, I... I know we're going to be visiting, but after that we'll probably have to talk and decide what we want to do. Church-san invited Junpei back to his world and I don't think he'll object too much to someone tagging along.

[ She gives a little smile -- nervous but hopeful. ]

That'll all be things we can decide when this is all over and we're free.

[goteachother]

Yer going to the future with Leonard then?

I'd love to see where everyone's from but... I can't leave my sister. 's just been the two of us since we were little.

[serrata]

Hopefully...! It's just... it's nice having the option, I think. Being able to decide.

[ She's been woefully short on meaningful options for a long while now.

The mention of sisters, though, makes something in her face twinge. Not quite as obvious as a wince but a slight dulling of her smile and a hasty aversion of her gaze. ]

Why not... see if she wants to come with you, for a little bit? It's not every day you get that kind of chance. I'm sure everyone would love to meet her, too.

I couldn't ask Tina to leave her job, this new fella of hers... New York's home. Has been all our lives.

[And she doesn't really catch that fragile cast to her smile, unfortunately. She hasn't gotten to really talk much about home and she's remembered so much.]

Maybe Jacob. He's awful sweet on me and oh gosh Rii you should taste some of the things he makes. He's a baker. I... I didn' actually remember him at first. Kinda feel a little guilty now, what with Tani and all.
