[As with the weeks before, life in the Fantasy Sweet returns to something resembling normalcy with shocking efficiency. The second floor rest area and Adventure Zone Death Orb Room are spotless again, the demon glitter has been vacuumed, the deflated orbs have been replaced. It's like none of it ever happened, like three more friends aren't dead and stored away in the guest house morgue.

There's a new floor to explore, their "reward" for a job well done.]

...Do we have lily of the valley seeds?

They're... well, they're my favorite actually but... maybe if they're there it's like I'm still looking out for him. Or something.

[serrata]

[ She reaches out and gently sets a hand on his shoulder. ]

There's plenty. Should I go and get some for you?

[shikosuki]

Yes... please.

[serrata]

Okay. I'll go and get you some gloves, too. Just wait right here.

[ Off she goes. When she returns it's with the promised seeds, some gloves, a trowel and a watering can. ]

Have you done any gardening before?

[shikosuki]

Um... not really. Just whatever they show you in school when you're a little kid.

[serrata]

Well, this should be easy enough. Seeds aren't too complicated.

[ well, they kind of are, but for the purposes of murder mansion memorials, she's going to simplify this for him. ]

Pick the spot you want them to sprout from and dig a little trench. Make it about...

[ she holds her thumb and index finger about an inch or so apart. ]

This deep.

Okay...

[ he picks a spot close to the pillow and does as she says ]

[serrata]

[ She watches him carefully. She doesn't intent to step in and do it herself at any point but she wants to make sure he knows what he's doing. ]

How many do you want to plant? Just one, or a few of them?

[shikosuki]

...Three.

Because we're both the third son.

[serrata]

[ She takes in a slow breath. Like it hurts to hear him say that. ]

I... I think that'd make him happy.

You can go ahead and put the seeds in that little trench. Make sure you space them out -- they'll need plenty of room to take root.

[shikosuki]

R-Right...

[ he spreads them apart carefully ]

[serrata]

You're doing a good job.

[ Encouragement! ]

Once you've got them where you want them to take root, fill in the trench. Make sure they're nice and snug in the soil then drizzle a little water on top to give them something to drink and set them growing.

[shikosuki]

[ he nods and once they're done starts filling in the trench ]

So just a little bit? They don't need more than that?

[serrata]

No more than that. So long as the soil's nice and damp to start with, they should have enough. You can come back and check on them every day but they shouldn't need to be watered every time unless you notice the soil's starting to get dry.

[shikosuki]

Oh... okay. I always thought they'd need more than that... good thing you told me.

[serrata]

It's what I'm here for.

[ She ain't Champion Green Thumb for nothing. ]

Do you feel like you've gotten the hang of it?

[shikosuki]

Y-Yeah. I think so!
