[As with the weeks before, life in the Fantasy Sweet returns to something resembling normalcy with shocking efficiency. The second floor rest area and Adventure Zone Death Orb Room are spotless again, the demon glitter has been vacuumed, the deflated orbs have been replaced. It's like none of it ever happened, like three more friends aren't dead and stored away in the guest house morgue.

There's a new floor to explore, their "reward" for a job well done.]

Wonderful. [ Though she smiled, it didn't quite seem to reach her eyes. An attempt was made, if nothing else. ]

Come, sit. I am... not very good at it, but I will do my best. [ Angel grabbed a pillow and set it in front of her. Perfect seat. ]

[Arianna sat, looking at Angel's toes.]

It looks as if you've been doing well enough.

[...she's pretty sure that if something is weighing on Angel's mind it probably isn't her lack of confidence in her nail painting skill, but still.]

[ Angel wiggled them a little, a slightly bigger and far more genuine smile creeping over her lips. She opened her mouth to say something, but her robot friend was quick to interrupt her, zooming over with a digitized wail. ]

Sorry he... gets really excited sometimes. And I... cannot make out how to fix his speech modulator. If he even has one.

[What's a speech modulator? Apparently not something this little guy has, which means Arianna probably doesn't need to derail the conversation in that direction.]

He seems to care for you very much.

Really? I think he just likes everyone. [The robot spun around in a circle. Bing bing bing, Angel's got it right. And just to prove it, he goes over and bumps his body against Arianna's arm. Hello, new friend!!]

Oh! Hello, there. I suppose the two of us have something in common.

[She pets him like he's a weird metal dog or something. This happy memory will in no way make Arianna sad later.]

I wish I could be like you, Arianna. Feeling so fondly toward everyone. I... do not know how you manage it.

You have always seemed to me as if you were quite fond of everyone.

Not... everyone. Nishitani frightens me. Ardyn makes me uneasy. And no matter what I do, Nari does not like me.

[...okay, those first two are pretty reasonable, and she nods with them.]

...Dame Nari can be somewhat... coarse, but I'm certain it is from a position of caring.

I am sure too. I... at least want to be friends with her. I am not so certain about the other two, though.

[She sighed, and looked down at the polish beside her. Picking it up, she leaned over toward Arianna and motioned for her hands.]

Why don't we get started, mm?

The others are... odd, certainly. In particular I find myself somewhat uneasy with Lord Ardyn as well.

[Arianna has de-gloved herself, so she holds out her hands.]

He at least seems to mean well. He is working to get us out, at least. Though I suppose I could say the same about Nishitani. If nothing else, he is good to Queenie.

[After hesitating just a moment, Angel uncapped the polish. Taking Arianna's hand, she applied a slow stroke up the middle of her fingernail.]

I apologize if I make any mistakes.

You are doing well so far.

[And honestly it doesn't matter. Now that she has her clothes back she wears gloves most of the time anyway.]

Sir Homare is... he is rather... well, he is hedonistic and crude. But it seems he has a good heart underneath. [...maybe?] I knew a man in High Lagaard whom I believe would get along well with him.

Mm... [Angel expanded her strokes outward with a shaky hand. Though there were a few marks on the edges of her fingers, for the most part, Angel's toes had been good practice.]

I do not know about a good heart but... I do not think he would hurt any of us. Again, Queenie means a lot to him, and I do not believe he will sacrifice that.

It does seem that Dame Queenie trusts him, and that is good enough for me.

[Surely he won't do anything horrible like accidentally introduce Arianna to Cards Against Humanity.]

That is what I've been telling myself. I am still uneasy, of course, but at least I can trust in that fact.
